This Year's Model Updates:

The Park Avenue's taillamps are now similar to those found on the upscale Ultra model. Also new this year is an enhanced eight-speaker audio system dubbed Concert Sound III, a new hood-to-fender seal for improved appearance, an adjustable rubber bumper for the deck lid and four new exterior colors.

Pros:
  • Big and comfy interior, strong V6 engine, attractive design, good value.
Cons:
  • Use of cost-cutting plastics inside, floaty ride, dizzying array of gizmos.

We were the second owners of our Park Avenue. It had 72,000 miles when we purchased it. We added approximately 175,000 miles. This was THE most comfortable car I have ever been in. My sisters BMW and Lexus didn’t even come close. My husband has a bad back. This was his favorite ever. We’re in a Buick LaCrosse now. It’s no Park Avenue.

Just bought my first Park Ave. in September 2002. Had three LeSabres prior to this. It has 57K miles but is in great condition with all the bells & whistles. This car has a good ride and corners great. It feels very solid on the road. Plenty of luxury features that help keep your eyes on the road such as the heads up display and the climate & radio controls on the wheels. Love the sunroof, chrome wheels & heated seats. Great car for the money and these Buicks are dependable & last.

This is my third Park Avenue, and it is by far the best. It gets great gas mileage and handles well for its size. You do need premium fuel, however. Ive had few maintenance problems. I plan to trade the car for a new 2005 Park Avenue Ulrta because it has 77,400 miles on it, and GM is going to stop making the model. I love this car, and hope that the new one will be just as good and will serve me well for five years or more years as this Park Aveenue has done. Park Avenue Ultra is a great car, and Im sorry to see it go.

Have had numerous problems with this car. Windows, air, heat, sunroof, auto seat, transmission. Every time Ive had to fight to get the things fixed even under the factory warranty. Even then still not right. Additionally the mechanic says there is a transmission problem and they still wont fix it saying there is nothing wrong. Crazy. Why cant the Americans build a car that holds up? And this is their top of the line!! Its almost like Buick has a policy of obfuscate. This is very disappointing to say the least. Im going to trade it on one of those imports. Sorry folks... I want to support American labor but it reaches a point....

Great Car, gobs of torque off the line. Comfy interior. Engine is coarse compared to Japanese makes, but not offensive. Had to repair the seat motors on both front seats to a tune of $1400.00. Very quiet car! Drives very nice. Like the Heads up display. Tire pressure monitor has I am sure saved my tire after I found a nail by letting me know before it went flat and driving on it. Great safety feature. Wish I had Stabilitrack and side airbags. Really Really love the Concert III sound system, really rocks. Dont like that I cant select CD from the steering wheel but can select am/fm. Huge trunk a major plus. Buy this car and youll be happy.

Bought new and have been happy with this model from the gitgo! Acceleration, even today with 147,800 miles on er is truly amazing. Still get 30-31 mpg on hwy and 22 city at resonable speeds. Can burn all grades of fuel even though they specify premium for supercharge. If they wre still made, wed buy another even at the higher price of gas. If comfort is your desire this ride cant be beat either coss country (12 to 20 hrs. At a stretch) or stop and go city snarls. Style is still as good today as it was when first introduced. Too good to believe, ya, thats right, it is.

I commute 47 miles to work one way and have previously have had small or intermediated size autos. The PA gives me consitently 32 MPG on the highway and 28 overall mpg. The ride is fantastic and overall performance exceptional. If your looking to purchase a quality automobile look no further than a used Park Ave.
