  Great car - 2004 Volkswagen Phaeton

  I have owned Jaguars, Mercedes, Lincolns, Cadillacs, the vw w12 Phaeton is the best auto I have owned. It is a fun car to drive. It is extremely comfortable, especially on long trips. The technology is awsome. The service by VW for this vehicle is the best I have ever received for a luxury car. The w12 engine is very responsive and it is hard to believe but better mileage than one would expect from a 12 cylinder engine. After 5000 miles I am getting 20 mpg on highway driving. I am simply deighted with this vehicle.

  for about 1/3 less than its cousin, Bentley Continental GT, the Phaeton delivers an unbeatable mix of luxury, safety, and comfort that is unmatched in its category. A hand-built quality to its finish, 4 wheel drive, an ingenious indirect ventilation system, a decent gas mileage (about 18 mpg over the last year), make this car the best value in its class, beating hands down the S500, 745iL, and A8. Test drive it and youll be sold as well.

  Wonderful car - 2004 Volkswagen Phaeton

  I have 5000 miles on the car and it is still a good feeling to get in and drive. The fuel economy is 15 to 16 in short trip city driving. Highway speeds 70 and higher where allowed 22 to 23 mpg. The car is solid and quiet at speed. The fit and finish on this car is perfect. I would recommend this car to anyone who wants a good luxury car for a price way less than some other brands.

  Picked up the car beginning of November and have had it for about two weeks. I had heard a lot about this car and once I got behind the wheel and drove it I was sold. The build quality is far greater and move "high priced" vehicals. The drivabilty of this luxury vehicle is not like those of its competitors, though its designed for luxury it does not over do the soft comfy feel, you still feel connected to the road and feel like driving more than being driven. The acceleration is moderate to good for a car which is just over 6000lbs, the exhaust soundtrack is like none other about the only thing you could hear while you drive this misunderstood hidden gem of a vehicle.

  Ive had the car for about a year now. Overall, this is a extremely competent luxury car. Good acceleration (not a burner, but fast enough), very smooth & quiet. The exterior is understated (which suits me just fine) & the interior is one of the best Ive seen (especially on an 04 car). Good attention to detail all around. The only drawbacks I can mention is Service & some reliability issues (mostly electrical gremlins - which arent uncommon in high end luxury cars). Combining the electrical issues w/ the fact VW technicians have little experience w/ the car can make service an exercise in trial & error & very costly if not covered under warranty(mine didnt cover much)

  The Phaeton is by far the best car I have ever owned and also the best I have driven. It handles like a car half its size and the interior room and comfort is outstanding. Dry roads, wet ones, snow... it does not matter this car handles it all. Think your front wheel drive is good enough for the north country? Try ALL WHEEL... There is just no comparison. This car takes me back to when I would experiment under the hood or with a new sound system. All those times I was trying to achieve something realy special... well, they call it a Phaeton! This one has it all superior comfort. There is no seat that conforms to your body like this one. Power, adjustable shift points, it all adds up to near perfect.

  This car is more than just a Luxury Car...It is a Comfortable Car. When you sit in the back of the car, you are presented with the self adjusting rear passenger headrests. Legs Tired?? Turn on the back and leg massagers. The creature comforts are beyond your wildest dreams. Multi-positional Drivers seat leaves no uncomfortable position. Horsepower on command!!
