70 mpg - 2006 Volkswagen Golf
By crazzy - April 10 - 9:26 amThe Golf GLS TDI is a comfortabe car that gets 70 mpg at 60 mph on flat ground without the A/C on and 47 mpg at 75 mph with the A/C on. It will do extremely high speeds in 5th gear. It even runs great on 20% soy oil or any other kind of veggie oil. The only down side is you must cool down the turbocharger for up to five minutes.

Excellent Little Car! - 2006 Volkswagen Golf
By Anita - March 18 - 4:33 pmThis is my second TDI Golf. They are excellent cars, so Ive nothing negative to say about them. Ive dressed both of mine up a tad. Ive added a few holographic "roses" to the door panels, a holographic "Chick Lit" sun shield and a couple other decals on my latest beauty. Its a very smart, classy looking little car that Id highly recommend to anyone. If you look after it, it will look after you.

VW - Rocks! - 2006 Volkswagen Golf
By VW-man - May 21 - 2:56 pmMy Volkswagen Golf has been a very reliable, fun car to own. I carpool to work and have fit 4 adults in it semi-comfortably. I also have taken it on road-trips with my girl and dog, there is always plenty of room. I am now looking into running "green" diesel (100% clean). Apparently no modifications are needed to accomidate the alternaive fuel.

My Golf - 2006 Volkswagen Golf
By Larry - January 29 - 1:16 pmI have a 2005.5 Volkswagen Golf GLS 6 speed auto. This car is fast, fun to drive, and very comfortable. I realy like it. I feel it was a bargan given the equipment it came with. The cold weather package is a must in the north. My other car is a turbo diesel pickup so I am probaly not a good judge of the handling, but the Golf car is a real treat to drive and and seams to be put together very well.

Nicks Review - 2006 Volkswagen Golf
By NickDouglas - January 25 - 7:50 pmThis car has been a dream. It gets 44 mpg combined and I dont drive slowly. It has more than enough power and great acceleration even with 4 passengers. I am waiting for the warranty to run out so I can convert the car to run on used cooking oil, no Prius can do that.

Diesels rule - 2006 Volkswagen Golf
By TDIfab - June 19 - 9:43 amI purchased my 2006 Volkswagen Golf GLS TDI about two weeks ago and I absolutely love it. I have put over 300 miles on it so far and still have a little more than half a tank left, this tank was filled full when I purchased it.

Best car Ive owned - 2006 Volkswagen Golf
By john Berthelot - July 28 - 12:50 amI was looking for a car for traveling back and forth to Florida and one that gets good fuel miliage. I have had a place for about the last four years in Delray FL which is 1,150 miles from my New Jersey home. I had a Mercedes 500 which by the way was a beautiful handling car. I watched SUVs back and forth and was considerating getting the Mercedes SUV. I researched the gas milage and price and decided not to buy it. Years ago I had a diesel VW pickup that I ran to death and got great gas milage. I looked up on the net the features and price of the new VWs and bought one.

By robert koepp - January 17 - 7:03 amThis is a great little car. Im glad that I bought it when I did. It seems they are hard to come by. I keep very careful record of my gas mileage and the overall average is approxiately 43 miles/gallon. It is a great little car that seems to be well built.
