I love this car!! - 2000 Toyota MR2 Spyder
By aj769 - August 16 - 10:00 amWhile the car has limited storage, it is a great weekend/summer car. I love how it handles and did not purchase it to haul things, I have a 4Runner for that. It is a great second car.

2000 MR2 - 2000 Toyota MR2 Spyder
By aires965 - July 19 - 10:00 amThis is a FUN car to drive, provided you do not have to take much w/ you! The only problem I have had is w/ the "check engine" light. It has been back to Toyota dealer some 18 times for this. Finally, Toyota replaced the computer & hopefully this will stop that pesky light. Great in the rain but terrible on ice & in the snow!

It,s a Sports Car!!! - 2000 Toyota MR2 Spyder
By kfoley - March 17 - 2:00 amGreat sports car. Not boring as a Miata has become. Could use 6th gear for hwy crusing. If you want tire wear buy a Chevy Malibu sports cars need soft sticky tires. Clutch a little soft, up- grade, easy fix. Dont see many great for resale. Takes another 7 to 10 grand more to get this much fun and its good for the ego when people ask "What is that? Its neat".

2000 MR-S - 2000 Toyota MR2 Spyder
By Mark Cookson - January 29 - 10:00 amThese cars are excellent. The performance is great, the handling is even better, and youll never get more looks from people with another car. One thing I do need to warn you about is the pre-catalytic converters for pre- 02s. They are known to go bad and will ruin the engine. The easiest remedy is to simply gut the pre-cats. Its most likely illegal to do but techincally wouldnt make the car fail emissions. It only takes away its LEV rating. Id much rather lose that than my engine. Another route is to have an engine from 2002 up put in there as they dont seem to be affected. (disclaimer, I assume no liabilty if you gut the pre-cats. its easy to do but requires a bit of work.)

Great Fun - 2000 Toyota MR2 Spyder
By Rd - April 13 - 10:00 amMy every day commute car, lots of fun to drive. Very dependable, only problem is no storage room and not easy to carry a bicycle. I made a custom bike rack for 2 that works GREAT adn attaches to the rear transport tie downs (covered by plugs on the rear grill. Drives like it is on rails!

It ROCKS!!! - 2000 Toyota MR2 Spyder
By Spydy - March 30 - 10:00 amThis is my favorite car Ive ever owned!!! Its HOT looking, nimble & quick! I search for curvy roads! I drove BMW Z4 & 330, Z28 & Vett, 911 & Boxster. Give me 2 or 3 MR-2s any day for the same $$$ of any of them! It maintains 80mph up 6% grades w/ no down-shifting!!! Wouldnt mind more storage, but not if it changes anything about the car. Chased a 911 thru curves @ high-speed w/ no problmes! Everyone is shocked when they find out it is as inexpensive as it is. If Porsche was still building the 914, this is what it would look like! AWSOME CAR!!!

Sweet, Fun, Great Value! - 2000 Toyota MR2 Spyder
By mrutz2 - October 3 - 8:08 pmI bought this car about a week ago after selling my 96 Cobra because I was tired of paying for 14mpg on premium fuel. I must say that even though it doesnt have the power that Im used to its still a blast to drive, and you can push this thing hard through corners. When it finally does break loose, which is usually slight understeer surprisingly since it is rear wheel drive, it is easy to regain control. I average about 30mpg even with pushing the MR2 pretty hard a lot of the time. I expected it to get a little bit more attention than it has but owell.. If theres anything this car could use it would be a little more power. But it is still a really fun car to drive!

2000 MR-2 Spyder - 2000 Toyota MR2 Spyder
By Sonia Allen - May 21 - 5:10 pmMy Spyder turns heads everywhere I go. It is so fun to drive and it handles like a go kart on rails. I have had many sports cars in the past but this one is my favorite.
