By bmerton - November 19 - 10:00 amFredWirts review is way off the mark. As a matter of fact, I doubt he owns one (Cruise wasnt even available on the 2000! If he has it, it is aftermarket.) His problems are far out of the ordinary. Get the real story on the Spyder at www.spyderchat.com and ask the enthusiasts there. As for the guy with the 10K-15K tires...okay...sure. You can replace your tires with some excellent ones for less than $400 and pocket the difference between that and the extra $10-12K on the S2000. Dont know what kind of tires you had, but thats no reason to rate the car a 2-3 overall! :)

It looks and rides like a Porsche just less expensive. It rides like new. I absolutely love it and would love another one. My only complaint is the top. Wished it was automatic and hands free. Other than that I would get another one. Sharp Smart and great on the road! I always get asked what kind of car is that it is HOT!!! I have a midnight blue with black interior. Its a hottie...

Great Spyder - 2000 Toyota MR2 Spyder

This is a daily driver and I love it more than the 79 vett I used to drive or store in the garage. I have had nothing go wrong with this car and dealer in Vancouver, Wa has been excellent with routine maintenance. Best car I have owned.

By lovefastcars - June 17 - 2:00 amThe Mr2 is a great car and has been very reliable as well as a fun car to drive. I would recommend this car to anyone. I would also add that just because the Miata has a larger trunk, its not worth passing up the MR2 for.

FUN - 2000 Toyota MR2 Spyder
By ricknmadrid - December 16 - 10:00 amAnyone complaining about storage or gas milage is clueless. This is a second car, and its designed to be fun - and it is! Quick without being obnoxious, very manageable around turns, ergonomic (once youre in!) and plenty of torque even at high end. Its so precise it takes a while to drive with the right touch. For 1/3 the price of a boxter (which we seriously considered) its a very cool choice.
