  • More Ups than Downs - 2004 Toyota Celica

I love this car so far; however, there are some downfalls. The paint does chip very easily, despite the extra clear coat that was added. This is very upsetting since I take excellent care of the car and wash it at least every other week. The back window creates a huge blind spot. The door paneling scratches easily and shows marks. The radio could be better. There is not much bass at all!Other than that I have had good experiences. The front seat is very comfortable. The fuel economy is amazing! I average about 35.5 with city and hwy combined. The body is beautiful. Action pkg is a must. Very fun to drive. Controls are easy to locate and use.

This is the second Celica I have had, the first one being a 2000. I leased the 2000 and was determined to get another Celica due to the reliability of this vehicle. In the four years I leased it, this car was the best all around in quality, performance, design, gas milage wise, and just all around FUN!!! I put my seal of approval on this great car, with the knowledge that Toyota will stop making them within the next couple of years....so sad!!!

I love my Toyota Celica. I was the happiest person alive when I finally bought my Celica. I love everything about it. I just hope it was a little faster.

So much aftermarket high-performance products that will tremendously transform your car from a stocky-stock machine to a fast and the furious type of vehicle, name it carbon fibers, intakes, suspensions, body kits, rear spoilers, 19 inch rims and high- performance race tires, wow simply amazing. Get the Absolute Red and feel like your driving a 360 Ferrari Modena. The Toyota Celica is very stylish, especially when you install toyota certified TRD parts. Great car, I love it so much, fuel economy and the price is unbeatable.

When I went on the car market to purchase a "reasonably priced" "sporty" vehicle...I chose the Celica for these reasons...1) Toyota name/quality 2) in the price range I was reviewing...the Celica was the only model (of its class) that offerred front wheel drive (its equal to my former Subaru Forester as far as getting around town in the snow and ice)!! 3) It is completely fun and and great to zip around town in (plus) its a great road trip vehicle and performs its best at 100+ mph (not bad for a GT model with a 4 cylinder)!!....the seats arent totally comfortable for hours on end, but again for the price....I couldnt be happier!

The Celicas handling is extremely smooth and agile. The rear bumper is extremely effective in preventing damage when hit at 5mph, (I know this from experience).

The Celica is one of the most beautifully designed 2-door sports coupe in the market today within the 4 cylinder category. With tons of aftermarket upgrade kits to improve performance. The Celica GT is priced right, with so much potential for improvement and innovation. The owner only has to be resourceful and extremely creative. What would make the 2004 Celica an awesome sports car, put a 19" inch 5-spoke AXIS Hagen wheel with 35 series HP tires, drop body by 2 inch, and install wide body kits by APR, and then install a carbon fiber hood scoop, retain your metail hood. To me that is what a Celica should look like

This is the car for you if you value performance and economomy/efficiency. My previous car was a Mark II MR2 and I loved it. This car has similar performance but it is more civilized in everyday use on the highway. It is comfortable, quiet and very fast in day to day use. I would not hesitate to take it on a long trip yet I enjoy the excitement every time I get into it.

  • The best. Period! - 2004 Toyota Celica

Have owned a 2004 Celica GT-S since January 2011. What a blast to drive. Hopefully, Ill get the infamous Toyota reliability out of this car as I did from my 1991 Celica ST. Its a shame Toyota discontinued this model back in 2005. Car runs smooth. Terrific handling. Sharp interior. Unfortunately, Celicas take a beating from the public. I cant tell you how many times people have purposely scratched, keyed and dented my car out of jealousy. It happened to my 1991 Celica as well. For some reason, they just cant let a sweet looking car look sweet for long. On the other side of the coin, even today, people will stop to complement me about this great looking car. It rocks! Very pleased with it.
