  Great car, very confortable on good roads, while not as great on our poor quality Quebec roads. A/C is fantastic.

  Although I also own a 1998 740IL BMW, I find myself driving my Toyota Camry SLE Convertible more than my BMW! Its fun to drive, I especially love the easy to use GPS, and the convertible top is so easy and quick to use. Its surprising solid.....and Im a European car snob. Before this Toyota, I had only owned BMWs. After owning this car, I plan on sticking with the Japanese cars from now on!

  Mediocre Review - 2005 Toyota Camry Solara

  Lot of fun to show off and drive with the top down! Have had several quality issues including: paint peeling off the rear!, gear shift module (plastic component broke), alignment issues. All within the first 5000 miles! Cowl shake still noticeable. Stereo system is OK, although not remarkable (it is no Bose). Definately performs like a mid- level family sedan rather than a sports car. Would love to see the same size and styling with a sportier suspension system, and by all means, a manual transmission! Averaging 21mpg in the city and 27mpg on the highway. Sheet metal "feel" is the worst of any car I have owned.

  This car has everything someone who needs space, but wants a sporty look, could want. Assume it is a great car, except for the following: 1.What really bugs me is that the transmission balks on re-acceleration after slowing down to about 6 m.p.h. (say you are slowing for a traffic light and it turns green just before you get there.) It jerks forward when you apply the gas in this situation. There is no way to avoid this without slowing traffic behind you while you gingerly nurse the gas pedal. 2. Forget trying to back out of a driveway with confidence. The beautiful lines that we love to look at from the outside hamper the visibilty from the inside - back and sides.

  Smooth, quiet and comfortable. I have owned this car for 7 months. Previous car was a Chrysler Sebring Conv which I owned and drove for 7 years. Solara is far quieter has good interior space including trunk, nice 5-speed auto trans [although I would prefer a stick.] Confidence inspiring brakes...Toyota reliability. Good size fuel tank and excellent highway MPG of about 30.

  I have been amazed by the performance of this car. We went from a Lincoln Continental to the Solara and I was a little concerned about the comfort and accceleration. We have enjoyed it and have no complaints other than the heating and cooling system. It seems like it is hard to adjust. Other than that all I can say is THANKS TOYOTA.

  Absolutely love my convertible, interior is beautiful, runs smooth, looks great. One thing I dont like is where the clock is, cant see it if it is a sunny day. Another thing it would be nice if the seats raised up with a lever, I have had short people that sit in the front that can barely see out the side window. And I like to lean my elbow on the door while I drive. Other than that ..oh yeah one more thing the antenna, I have had to replace it ..on the 3rd time, be nice if it were in windshield. It is the funnest car to drive, my husband and I look for excuses to drive it on a nice day!!!

  I love this car. It is the best car I have ever had. I have a Mercedes S500 that sits in the garage while I prefer to drive my Solara.

  Best Car Ive Ever Owned! - 2005 Toyota Camry Solara

  I have a 2005 Solara with 105,000 miles on it and I absolutely love it! Ive had the car for 5 years now and its a true head turner, there is nothing on the road that looks like it. Ive also had no major problems with the car. Im 65" & about 290 lbs and there is plenty of head room and the most leg room of any car Ive ever driven. This is without a doubt the most comfortable car Ive ever driven; including BMW, Mercedes and Lexus. The car comfortably seats 4 and maybe 5 if the three in the back are smaller people. It is great on gas mileage and the upkeep is next to nothing. The only issues that Ive had are the alignment and balancing issues with the tires that others have stated

  Overall fit and finish are outstanding. The convertible top is simple to use, quiet, and draft free. The car has impressive acceleration and excellent braking. Regular driving is a pleasure but the suspension is too mushy for serious fun in the twisties. Hard cornering can produce some real significant understeer.
