Drive By Wire - 2005 Toyota Camry Solara
By Joe_P - October 23 - 10:00 amI couldnt be more pleased with this "Personal Car". A joy to drive, and compared to most, takes the curves "on rails". Main reservations center on the "drive-by-wire aspects: a brief hitch in throttle, shift, and brake response while a "chip" considers the drivers intentions. Most serious reservation: the vacume assist brakes which stop OK, but only after the pedal is half way to the floor!

GREAT CAR! - 2005 Toyota Camry Solara
By Twink25 - July 7 - 8:40 amThis is the best Ive owned so far, drive quality and overall fit and finish is superb. The 4cyl. has plenty of zip and I especially like the smooth, quiet ride, its far better than other sport-coupes Ive owned and with much more space. Only thing I dont like is the air-conditioning, it doesnt seem to get very cold. Ive taken it to the dealer to get it looked at and it checks out, it just doesnt run as well as other vehicles Ive had. Otherwise, everything runs perfect. If you want a Lexus-quality car w/ a moderate price-tag, this is it!

One of the best Ive ever owned. - 2005 Toyota Camry Solara
By Barbara Lestician - March 26 - 4:13 amIt handles with the conditions of the roads. When it was icy and slippery it holds the road great. Performance over all is excellent.

Top Down Excellence - 2005 Toyota Camry Solara
By CPisieczko - February 21 - 10:33 amIve had my Solara for a couple months now, and am happier with it every day. After shopping I was down to the Solara and a Mercedes 320. This was by far the better buy, as it has the quality and styling of any car on the market. The only drawback I have is the poor visibility in the rear when the top is up, but thats true with most convertibles. Ive had several Chrysler convertibles, and there is NO Comparison.

Beautiful Car - 2005 Toyota Camry Solara
By Littlfeather108 - November 10 - 10:00 amThis car is an excellent buy. One of the first things that caught our eye was the amount of room. Better half is 64" and fits very comfortably. The car itself has a classy look. We chose the 2005 Red SLE. I am constantly getting asked how I like my new Lexus. It is very similar in style to a Lexus. It has an amazing amount of "get up and go" for a 4 cylinder. This one has the moon roof which we like very much. The car is so quiet it is hard to tell if it is running or not. The sound system is very adequate and the dash design is very sporty. It has a roomy trunk, and the back seat boasts plenty of room for long legged passengers. This is an excellent car for the money.

best bang for my buck - 2005 Toyota Camry Solara
By steven messina - September 21 - 11:20 pmwell were to start what a value! i love my solora i have the 3.3 liter convertible with navigation. The solora is my daily driver, the gas mileage is awesome. Ill pop the top on the way to work in the morning, or late at night. I have owned toyotas before and the quality dependablity and reliablity is what keeps me coming back. my fiance and I are planning to buy the 06 hybrid highlander..we test drove it the day i bought the convertible and boy did that drive just like a v8!...the gas mileage is better then most cars..n e ways if you dont think that toyota is right for you then try owning one.

Most Underated of All Convertibles - 2005 Toyota Camry Solara
By Steve - May 24 - 9:46 pmOutstanding quality, nice ride, seats 4, looks great. This convertible is a bargain compared to others out there and it comes with the typical Toyota reliability. May not be the most stylish on the outside, but this is a great automobile.

great decision - 2005 Toyota Camry Solara
By DAN - May 2 - 6:46 amI recently purchased a SLE V6. Great decision! Interior fit and finish is fantastic, the engine is barely audible, and the ride is smooth and controlled. Love all the options for the price-V6, leather, heated seats, sunroof. The 2006s are out and I got a great deal on my 2005 model. Several dealers were willing to negotiate, I think they are trying to move the 2005 models off the lots. I compared it with the Honda Accord coupe (nicer inside, classier styling, manumatic instead of auto or 6 speed), the Infiniti G35 (much quieter, nicer inside!), and the Merecedes 230 sedan and coupe (more horses, much quieter, huge price advantage). I highly recommend this vehicle!
