Overview & Reviews
More power is in store from a new 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine. On the outside, Toyota has added a redesigned front grille and bumper, new headlights and taillights and a bolder rear bumper. A new appearance package (only available on the SE Coupe) includes alloy center caps for the wheels, a three-spoke perforated leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, black trim and Black Pearl emblems. Rounding out the changes are standard daytime running lights, optional seat heaters (coupes only) and a trunk-opener function for the keyless remote.
- Roomy cabin, convertible version, reliable Camry genes, delectable V6.

A Great Sporty Car - 2002 Toyota Camry Solara
By Boston - April 8 - 2:30 amMy third Solara (had 4cyl and SLE). The V6 5spd is the best! Much more power(200hp) than 4 cyl and much more fun to drive than SLE. Not a sports car, but has a real sporty feel. If you really enjoy the driving experience, you must get the SE V6 5spd! Very quick acceleration, silky smooth and quiet, but responsive and sporty handling. Fine overall quality of workmanship (virtually trouble free). Great bet for the mid-lifer who didnt quite make it to that sports car.

BEST 4 PASSENGER CONVERTIBLE - 2002 Toyota Camry Solara
By realtor steve - March 23 - 2:00 amWe drove every convertible from $55k on down. Decided we wanted a 4 passenger car. This car is the best:lots of fun to drive, maybe not a real sports car but plenty fast and zippy. In fact it was faster off the line than either the Saab or Volvo convertibles. It was the most comfortable riding of all of them. I dont put a lot of mileage on, but I enjoy this car every day.

Wonderful Touring Car - 2002 Toyota Camry Solara
By SilverSolara - December 26 - 10:00 am2000 6cyl w/manual tranny. Extremely comfortable, almost luxurious ride. All reviews saying it is Lexus-like are dead-on. The engine, brakes, tranny have been problem-free at 36K miles. After comparing it to CL/Integra, Accord, Cougar, Tiburon, and Seabring, I think I have the best car (that suits me) for the money.

Refined on a budget - 2002 Toyota Camry Solara
By FSTRTHABTR - October 13 - 11:46 amOverall, Ive only owned the car about 8 months, purchased it used for a private party, they kept records on everything this car went thru however, which was very little. To date, its never been taken in for anything other than routine service. The only thing not absolutely pleasing about this car is the accommodation of someone of my height, at 62" I feel a little bit claustrophobic until I open the sunroof.

Best car I have ever owned - 2002 Toyota Camry Solara
By ToyotaForever - August 28 - 1:06 pmI decided to give Toyota a try with the purchase of my 2002 Toyota Solara. This is by far the best vehicle I have ever owned. The only thing I have had to replace on this car in 4 years is tires and a battery.

A Combination of Fun and Pratical - 2002 Toyota Camry Solara
By Jdavis - April 16 - 10:00 amI have enjoyed this car every day I drive it. Several times a week I pat myself on the back for choosing this vehicle. It has room enough for adults, economical to operate, and is a car that should last for years. And yet, it is a blast to drive. I have had two minor items which needed to be repaired. The car is comfortable and solid. It has all the features I want. The wind and outside noise is low for a convertable, but is certainly more than hardtops. Most notable on interstate and around trucks. No regrets.

So Far Very Good - 2002 Toyota Camry Solara
By bioedwards - April 2 - 10:00 amThe Solara and the dealer have been the best I have experienced in a long time. The car has had no problems and has performed as expected. The only thing that I could complain about is the quality of the paint and the interior carpet. Both seem to be the cheapest possible.
