Very Reliable Car - 1999 Toyota Camry Solara
By enrik - April 30 - 10:00 amI have had my 99 Solara for 5-1/2 years now and have not had a single problem with it. The only expenses have been for maintenance. My daily 40 mile commute to and from work is very comfortable and effortless in this car.

Just try to pass me! - 1999 Toyota Camry Solara
By mi_trang_thui - April 17 - 10:00 amWow! Ive finally found a car that I feel comfortable and relaxed in! I do more driving than the average person and most of it is in the city. Ive had Mazdas, VWs, Chryslers and several others. I very much appreciate the stability and comfort of my SLE. The leather is nice and the stereo is fun to crank. So far no mechanical problems and I have a feeling it will stay that way for some time.

Not So Pleased - 1999 Toyota Camry Solara
By Its Not All That - January 21 - 2:00 am-Replace EGR valve at 30k-- took it to the dealer 5 times to figure this one out!!!~ very annoying -Sruts in need of replacing at 40k-- I agree, this should be recalled -24 mpg, not so great -CD player skips, possibly as a result of the strut problem-- $1500 to replace- - 2 weeks to figure this one out -big heavy doors that ding and get dinged -$600 to replace window due to vandalism-- not cheap! -Severe windshield glare
