Nice Car - 2000 Toyota Camry Solara
By Richard Bernard - June 11 - 10:00 amThis has been a great car to Own. We have 4 months of winter, yet we use this as a winter car also. It handles great. We replaced our Audi 200 Quattro with this car. It does not have the great winter handling, since it does not have 4 wheel drive, but with snow tires on, it does very well with the traction control. The Boot that came with the car looks great, but is hard to put on, and has broken at the joint. Ive had to rivit it to use it.

I was satisfied until yesterday........ - 2000 Toyota Camry Solara
By Shauna - February 25 - 10:00 amI was the proud owner of a 2000 Solara until a 16 year old kid decided to run into the back of me and toss me into another car and another lane of traffic on yesterday. Despite it all, my Solara held up remarkably well according to the SC Highway Patrolman that investigated the accident. This was my dream car, the car that I searched the East Coast to find with all of the options I wanted (even alloy wheels), the color I wanted, it was Toyota Certified AND it was within my budget. I only had it for 4 months and now it is a faded memory....it was a really great car. Im sure Ill never find another one like her.....

Balanced, quality package - 2000 Toyota Camry Solara
By Nipsy - August 1 - 1:56 amThis car is a pleasure. Handling & performance are good and comfort is outstanding. Stable on the road, adequate mileage. For my money, it is the best balance of quality, price, performance, and comfort.

Great car for the last 10 years - 2000 Toyota Camry Solara
By Josie - April 16 - 7:53 pmWe bought the car new and drove it for a good 10 years. The only reason we decided to let it go is were now working on our second baby and unfortunately a 2 door car will no longer fit in with our expanded family. Considering for how long weve had it we were thankful to only have to deal with routine maintenance and a few minor problems (the O2 sensor had to be replaced, the passenger viser mirror broke off after 5 years, and occasionally the driver side window motor will stick if the weather is very humid.) But the engine has been impeccable, and I joked with my husband on several occasions we should just keep the car for another 14 years so it can be our childs first car when hes 16.

Solara, my story... - 2000 Toyota Camry Solara
By Webguyster - October 13 - 10:46 pmThis car is a mystery. Hasnt let me down yet, but has had a few minor flaws, like improper fitted carpet, rocking chairs, and delicate paint, and a love to go left. Suspension is quirky over rough surfaces. Never broke down, but have build quality issues. Quick, and stops on a dime. Transmission a bit rough for a Toyota. Looks nice, pleasant on the eye! Starting to get to many Solaras that look the same!

Suppercharged Solara - 2000 Toyota Camry Solara
By xxxxxxx - March 2 - 10:00 amI would encourage anyone seeking more power on the v6, 3liter engine to speek with Toyotas TRD (Toyota Racing Division)group, for about $5,200 I had a Toyota dealership install TRD supercharger, upping HP from about 200 to 276, sport suspention-springs and struts which lowers the car about an inch and a half, short shift making for a sweet short through and lastly a sport exhaust, throw in a K&N filter and Im the sleeper no mustang GT, regular BMW or Boxter expected to meet. All this and maintaining the Toyota warrenty!! Have Fun.

Worth the money - 2000 Toyota Camry Solara
By verified - August 24 - 6:20 pmI have had this car for 4 years. I bought it as a compromise between mpg and comfort as I commute over an hour to work. I have only replaced the battery and tires in those 5 years and have put 200K+ miles on. Performing past my expectations.

Lexus SC300 in disguse - 2000 Toyota Camry Solara
By ms - January 11 - 3:36 pmI bought the car for my wife last summer and I must say that this car is incredible. Everything from the design to reliability. My wife is expecting and the car sits to low for her to drive now so I have the pleassure of driving it I havent driven my Lincoln Conntinnetal for over four months now. My friend has a Lexus SC300 I went to his house and parked my car next to his and except for the front and rear bumpers and other cosmetic differences it is the same car. I love it I plan to buy one for myself.

Wheres the clutch? - 2000 Toyota Camry Solara
By ezshift5 - April 6 - 10:00 am41,375 miles on this 5-spd manual now. The only miscue during our three+ years was a faulty drivers side electric window switch (replaced under warranty at 13500 miles). A recent trip of about 4500 miles resulted in about 31 MPG overall. The only negative would be the suspension under hard driving - - which is less and less of a negative as I age. Toyota: ya done good.

Reliable and fun to drive - 2000 Toyota Camry Solara
By BPark - August 30 - 10:00 amThe Solara is a peppy, fun car to drive. Its been very reliable. I had a problem with the driver seat moving a small amount when driving, especially when taking off quickly. They fixed it, but Its still not quite right. I would make sure to check that before driving off the lot!
