  • Not terrible - 2002 Suzuki XL-7

Good price for an SUV with third row seat which is WAY too small for frequent use. My husband hates this car, but It never gave us a problem until the service engine light came on at 60k miles. It turned out to be a bad O2 sensor for $250. On maybe 5 different occasions, the belt squealed briefly when turning on the A/C then stopped. I should have taken it to the shop immediately. At 100,000 miles, the A/C compressor locked up and caused the belt to break - a $1,400 repair in total. Fuel efficiency is horrible, avg 17-20 mpg.

  • Reliable, Economic SUV - 2002 Suzuki XL-7

Overall a very reliable vehicle. However, I would admit this is no luxury SUV but for the price a very good value. Build quality is somewhat questionable. Dealer support is good as is the service that accompanies it.

  • OK for the money. - 2002 Suzuki XL-7

Good SUV for the money. Liked 3rd seat compared to cost of other SUVs. But have had problems with seal at waterpump, dealer fixed twice. Lousy MPG - no better than 15-16 mpg. And terrible defroster !! And crummy tires. Dunlops, just about bald at 20K.

  • Great Value and Seven Passengers - 2002 Suzuki XL-7

Three rows, value pricing, good acceleration, 4 wheel drive, leather seats . . Were very happy with the purchase thus far.

  • Reviewers Must be Prejudiced - 2002 Suzuki XL-7

We just got this car, and absolutely love it more each time we drive it. It cant possibly be the same vehicle the reviewers are talking about. It is peppy, quiet, comfortable and with excellent build quality.

  • If you must have 7 seats - 2002 Suzuki XL-7
    By -

Ive test drove the base model and the ride was much softer than the touring model which Ive purchsed. Its not the most comfortable vehicle, but it does seat seven reasonably. If you want 7 seating and have 7 full sized adults, dont even think about this car. If you have 2 or more small children and 2 adults then consider this vehicle. If you can afford Acura MDX, I say go for that. I understand it rides much better.

only 5,000 miles, so far so go.

  • Not bad for the price !!! - 2002 Suzuki XL-7

This little SUV handles it own. For the price the features are outstanding. I have a third row seat whichs is great for kids , but a little cramped for the adults on long trips. The soft plastic they use for the visors is too filmsy and not long enough to block the sun when you use it for side use. Overall this SUV is worth the price and has enough room to spare and using the 4 Wheel drive is fun. Oh !! I do have one issue that I am too lazy to go to get fixed, is that sometimes the radio LEDS go dim in the daylight whichs makes it hard to see the station and clock. One day I will have the issue addressed when I have time to go to the dealer.

I love my XL-7. I got it after I needed to use my aunts XL-7 and loved it. It has plenty of room for myself and children. I recently took it on a road trip and it did wonderful. This truck is a keeper until its time to trade it in and even then Itll be for another XL- 7.
