  • Excellent Value - 2002 Suzuki XL-7

Our family has had the XL-7 for a month now, and are very pleased with the vehicle. First, it has high value as it provides more features than its competitors do compared to selling price. Second, the exterior styling is pleasing -its lean and clean. Third, the interior is comfortable and the ride is very smooth for a truck. Controls are logically positioned. Lastly, the third row seat is a definate plus. Overall, the quality is very high in all aspects. The XL-7 is a great alternative to a mini-van and is a lot of fun to drive. There is a lot to like about this vehicle compared to what you pay for it.

  • Excellent value - 2002 Suzuki XL-7

I am very impressed thusfar with my vehicle. I previously owned a Toyota 4Runner and am quite happy with the Suzuki. The extra seat is wonderful for a growing family. I would like it a little wider but can live with it. However, I would not buy from Empire Suzuki in Montclair, CA. I encountered several problems with their dealership and dealing with these problems via their purported customer service was a most unpleasant and caustic experience. Fortunately, the vehicle makes up for it.

  • Better than expected - 2002 Suzuki XL-7

Cheapest 7 seater SUV you can buy. It is actually a lot better than in most reviews. 3rd row seat is a bit tight but you can move the 2nd row seat forward while 2nd row being not too crammed. OK ride comfort but a little bumpy. Braking even with ABS could be improved (when compared with a sedan). I highly recommend the 2002 Touring model which comes with almost everything but alarm. Get the rear cargo net option. If you dont like SUVs but need an inexpensive 4WD wagon that seats 7, get this.

  • Great SUV for the price & safe! - 2002 Suzuki XL-7

I searched for months to find an SUV with high safety ratings, comes with many options and a low price. This was it! I compared this SUV with the Toyota RAV-4, Jeep Liberty, & Ford Escape to find this was the best deal and a safe vehicle, unlike some of the above. I have not been dissappointed yet! I love this SUV. Its exactly what I wanted and expected.

  • A Very Fun-tional Vehicle - 2002 Suzuki XL-7

This SUV is an excellent, exciting alternative to a minivan for morning carpool, especially with elementary schoolers. Second-graders are able to work the 7-passenger seating mechanisms fine, and fight over doing so! Seating is exceptionally comfortable for 4 adults, and it works fine for 5-child transport... all behind the front row. So far Ive enjoyed this vehicle as much as or more than as any that Ive owned, including several Toyotas, a BMW, a Nissan, an Isuzu, Chevys, a couple of Fords and our current Honda Odessey.

  • Love my SUV - 2002 Suzuki XL-7

I have had my XL-7 for 3 months and I still love it. When I was first shown one I had no knowledge of it. I drove it and liked it, but the dealership was asking too much. So I found another one online, LOVED the color, test drove it in the snow and I had to have it. I drive about 40 miles roundtrip to work each day and the gas isnt as bad as I had expected. It is very roomy inside and accommodates my 65" fiancee. I would definitly reccommend it to anyone.

  • Long-Term Use Report - 2002 Suzuki XL-7

Got my Suzuki XL-7 in 12/01 and still like it today after 53,000 miles. It was the best SUV for the money at the time with its 3rd row seats and REAL part-time 4WD. I commute with it and now after break-in, I’m getting 20 mpg, I only got 17 mpg before. My XL-7 feels heavy but still it is still fun and sporty to drive. It did really well at the off-road course I took last year. The only problem I had was a coolant leak which may be the dealers fault. I recommend regular trans/diff fluid changes. And the original tires are lousy, mine were bald at 15,000 miles. Go with Yokohamas, mine are still like new after 30,000 miles. I solved my oil filter access problem by cutting a hole at the wheel well and bolted on an aluminum sheet door. The colored weather strips have all faded.

  • Quality, and much more than you pay for! - 2002 Suzuki XL-7

The leather interior is polished and professional, the ride is quiet and refined, the seven year transferable no deductible power train warranty (3 year bumper to bumper) is outstanding. You dont pay for a bunch of extra doodads. The XL-7 is two inches narrower than the ML 320, and is maneuverable, as a result. The XL-7 is truck based but rides like a car and has a part-time 4x4 capacity, which can be switched to at up to 60 mph. The XL-7 has done quite well in crash tests. The XL-7 has crunch zones, anti- lock brakes, beams in the doors, pretensioners on the seat belts, and second generation air bags. Weve been surprised by the high initial quality.

  • Best Mid-size Suv for the Buck - 2002 Suzuki XL-7

A great SUV that has so much to offer for the price. I also like the piece of mind I get with the 7-year 100,000 mile warranty.
