Overview & Reviews
The 2007 Suzuki Forenza carries over largely unchanged.
- Lots of standard features, spacious cabin with plenty of storage, available wagon model.
- Below-average fuel economy, leisurely acceleration on models with the automatic transmission, sloppy handling, lack of refinement, discouraging IIHS crash test scores.

Two interior door handles broken - 2007 Suzuki Forenza
By Donna - May 26 - 6:40 pmThe interior door handles broke on the front driver and passenger sides. Electrical issues....Occasionally, the emergency lights flash when opening the door and will stop when the ignition is turned on..several trips has been made to the dealer but they cannot find the problem. It also causes the AC to randomly blow hot and cold air while in the on position.

Clarity from Reading Customer Reviews - 2007 Suzuki Forenza
By rie_2011 - January 19 - 11:11 pmIm trying to recover from being layed off for almost 3yrs. The last car I had was dying. Finally just got a new job. I bought my 07 Forenza Sept 2011 from Carmax. reading all the above comments help me accept that I financed a POS. not even 60days yet and already the alternator and transmission sensor has been replaced. Carmax is refusing to let me add the warranty on now; saying I passed up my chance at signing. so Im going to continue being screwed over royally with this POS until I can get something better.

... - 2007 Suzuki Forenza
By D - January 12 - 1:26 pmI bought this car new over 2 years ago, have 61K miles on it. its a base model with a manual trans. only problem i have had was bent rims, and check engine light for throttle sensor (unplugged and replugged sensor and was fixed). I get 28-30 MPG on average. I havent had any real troubles, dont have any real complaints on my car except for dealers (all suzuki dealers are nightmares) the interior is not great but havent had anything brake, transmission isnt great but dose its job just fine. never had an engine problem, or any of the problems most other people seem to have and i tend to abuse my car.

I tired of it - 2007 Suzuki Forenza
By jody - December 19 - 12:23 amDoor handles broke off, needs constant tire balance, rotation, alignments. Interior lights quit working, passenger seat airbag sensor quit working. Cig lighter quit working. Car is only 3 yrs old (Dec 2007 purchase date). Been through more tire and alignments in 3 yrs than I did in 10 yrs on my Chevy 1500 used to pull horse trailers and hauling hay and driving dirt road looking for a camping spot.

my daughter hates this car!!! - 2007 Suzuki Forenza
By lisa - September 2 - 12:50 amwe bought this car for our daughter in 6/07 with 23 miles, she nows hates this car we have had 3 bent rims , vibrations, repainted door handles, transmission jerking, gas light indicator out, plus several different other things wrong the old saying you get what you pay for is definitely true in the case of this car..very disappointing to make such a big purchase and it turn out to be such a lemon, it is cute, roomy ,comfortable and fairly reasonable on gas but we would NEVER by another suzuki. Good Luck to everyone

Death Trap - 2007 Suzuki Forenza
By zmama - April 6 - 10:00 amWe purchased our Forenza in 2008. A month later 3 interior door handles broke off. Ever since we bought the car I have had to put air in the tires everyother day or so. Cheap Tires. Low Tire pressure signal constantly. Took car to dealership they replaced doorhandles, let me know about seatbelts, fixed those. About a month ago my transmission started slipping. Me and my daughter are in the vehicle all the time. The transmission trys to slip into another gear. We have almost been in SEVERAL accidents because of this. I say a prayer everytime we get in the car to make it to her school or the store safely. this care is NOT SAFE!!!!!

Good Start Bad Finish - 2007 Suzuki Forenza
By hawtsauc3 - February 11 - 4:34 amThe negative reviews on this are pretty accurate. I bought mine in 2008 (its a 2007) with 17500 miles on and it was great up until i paid it off. Over this last year its slowly deteriorated along with a massively depreciated value. The negative reviews say between 60k and 100k miles problems start and lo-and behold on my day off yesterday the check engine came on the the transmission started acting up. Got the system re-set and was told it will probably break again. Traded it in today. Its a decent care for the price but once problems start its all downhill.

Transmission and value - 2007 Suzuki Forenza
By triniprinces76 - January 4 - 7:53 amI bought this car brand new back in September 2007. I was desperate for a car, and it was all that I could afford. I should have resorted to taking the city bus! Right around 60,000 the transmission started slipping, and the gears dont go in right away... And if youre fed up of it, bull still making payments, dont try to trade it in. Its worth NOTHING! Lesson learned...I will stick to the cars that have been tested time and time again.

Paint or clear coat peeling off - 2007 Suzuki Forenza
By hjb6 - August 23 - 12:50 amMy car has suddenly had a problem with the clear coat on the hood peeling off. There is an area about 18 inches wide and just keeps growing bigger. Looks horrible. The tire pressure light stays on now all the time. Weve checked and adjusted the pressure over and over and cant get the light to go off. The check engine light came on today and Auto Zone said its coming up with something about the cooling system, most likely the thermostat. Im calling tomorrow to have it all checked out. Its been ok otherwise, but well see.

Peice of S@#$ - 2007 Suzuki Forenza
By JC - July 19 - 10:16 amI am also having transmission problems, door handle problems, and one i havent seen on here is the brake lights are coming on randomly and staying on and killing my battery, I expect the brake switch is faulty, Im thinking about just outing a master disconnect on the main battery cable and shutting it off when the car is not in use, sure cure any electrical pull Rather it is the brake switch or not!
