This Year's Model Updates:

In an effort to get buyers under 30 into its dealerships, Toyota launches an all-new division called Scion. The brand will eventually grow to three models, but for now two are offered, one of these a boxy, attention-getting vehicle called the xB. Scion will use a no-haggle sales strategy and give buyers ample opportunity to customize their xBs, drawing upon a list of over three dozen dealer-installed options.

Pros:
  • Massive interior for its size, unusual mini-truck styling, long list of standard equipment, comes with stability control, handles well for a budget-priced vehicle.

  • Have your gas and your fun too - 2004 Scion XB

You may look at the outside and think how small. But jump inside and its another world. Lots of room for both front and rear passagers. It may not have a large engine, but makes up for it in comfort and extras other cars charge extra for. You wont find cruise control, but having fun driving ,you wont mind.

  • Great Affordable Mruck - 2004 Scion XB

This vehicle has been really fun to drive, feels much bigger than it looks. I love it! The options are overpriced, better off getting them as aftermarket features. For the price its a great car.

  • Great on Gas! - 2004 Scion XB

Just purchased vehicle. Cheap price. Very roomy inside with lots of features. Great on gas, 1 tank lasts me at least 2 weeks. Great pickup, great sounds (comes standard with car). Pioneer radio with 6 speakers.

I think it takes a bit to get used to the look of the vehicle, as it did for me, however, the design is modern, the interior is spacious, the milage per gallon is outstanding for what i consider an SUV type, i love this vehicle, i dont think there was a better choice out there.

  • The car is great, but dealers are shady - 2004 Scion XB
    By -

The car is great, and while it still lags a little on the freeway, I dont feel a "huge" difference between the acceleration with this engine and my 245hp F-150. Of course the weight has a lot to do with that. While the car is great, be careful of dealers if negotiating a lease. They will tell you they "Will throw in" certain options, and charge for them while trying to disguise it as part of the lease. If you can, find the Scion only dealerships built into certain Toyota dealerships so that you dont run into shady financers.

  • You wont be sorry! - 2004 Scion XB

LOVE this car! And Im WAY past the targeted demographic age. :) If I could, I would buy another one just to have a new one in reserve. I cant believe the attention to detail and find something new I like better every day. Nice little storage compartments, the dash is EASY to read, you can feel for the disc/radio and change over without looking. Hooks to hold the floor mats in place that swivel if you use different mats. I could go on and on. I took the interior light option and illuminated cup holders. FUN!!!!! For adies; the shape of the windows means your hairdo isnt blown away. :) Its CUTE, its FUN to drive and the gas mileage is soooo nice!

  • Old Man Says YEA - 2004 Scion XB

I know these things were designed for the X-Generation, but I love mine. It is fun to drive, great on gas and you feel the Toyota quality. The interior is not perfect but I love the cargo space and my 3 year old grand son thinks that it is the greatest vehicle ever. By the way, so does by 84 year old mother-in-law because she finds it easy to enter and exit.

  • DONT KNOCK THE BOXX - 2004 Scion XB
    By -

At first I was doubtful that the xb would actully mesure up to my standards. But after the first test drive i was sold. This is not a race car but a car with speed when necessary. I love the fact that it still shocks people no matter how many times people see it.

  • Excellent Achievement - 2004 Scion XB
    By -

The Scion xB is a fun vehicle to drive. Its exterior is deceptive. What appears to be a small car on the outside is actually a large car inside. Comfortable and firm bucket seats with enough knee room in the back for 6 foot plus passengers. Storage is minimal throughout vehicle. It low center of gravity make it stable in handling corners. In fact its low base make it very comfortable to enter and exit. No extended step down nor an uneasy pull to get up and out. Very similar to getting out of a chair. For the price and gas mileage I consider the Scion xB an excellent achievement in small cars. By the way it makes an excellent conversation piece.
