Overview & Reviews
The Scion xB has been redesigned for 2008. Though the second generation of this compact wagon maintains the boxy shape that made the original a cult favorite, the xB's exterior is softer and more rounded this year. More importantly, the xB is now larger, roomier and features a much more robust engine. The interior has been improved as well, highlighted by an impressive array of high-tech audio choices.
- Long standard features list, strong four-cylinder engine, large passenger and cargo space, audiophile-friendly stereos, styling some people love.
- Styling some people find ugly, center-mounted gauges are hard to see, no telescoping steering wheel.

It grows on you - 2008 Scion XB
By David - October 7 - 7:26 amThis is a great vehicle. I have put about 400 miles on it so far and have been really pleased with my purchase. The ride is a little bumpy, but going from a giant F-150 might explain the sensitivity. I love the center mounted gauges and the trip computer is so convenient. It gets kind of annoying having to switch between the clock and the other information on the trip computer, but for 17k I can push the button a couple times. The upgraded stereo is a must. It looks a whole lot better and allows for future sound expansion if desired. All in all, Id highly recommend this car for all people of all ages. Im 26 and my Dad, much older, wants one now. MUCH better than the Honda Fit, etc

2008 Scion xB(2nd gen) - 2008 Scion XB
By Tj2008 - September 24 - 7:23 pmI got this car after trading in my 2007 Honda civic and I love the xb it is way more fun to drive! And there is a lot more passenger space and its great that it came with the first two recommended services free! I never fell like I dont have a lot of power the engine has great get up and go, and this car is easy to park and everyone is suprised by how much room it has on the inside. Though not as much as the first generation xb (really boxy one) you still get a lot of people staring there is nothing quite like it one the road and that makes it so great! The automatic trans. Even though a four speed it gets decent mpgs. My best mpg I got was on a trip to the beach hwy and it was 33.3 mpg!

Love the Box - 2008 Scion XB
By ronhawk62 - September 16 - 10:23 amIve put about 1500 miles on the box in two weeks and it has been excellent, so far. Ive been getting over 32 mpg on trips and about 27 in everyday commuting, way better than expected. Im 63" and have plenty of room and the ride is surprisingly quiet on the highway. The engine has excellent power and the transmission works seemlessly. It handles very well and Im more than pleased with my purchase. I like this car better than my previous car, a 2002 Lexus ES 300, and I really liked it.

I love my toaster - 2008 Scion XB
By Dan - September 2 - 12:36 amI love my toaster. Despite being razzed about it at work, it really is a well built car. Great functionality, a ton of room on the inside, great value. You can really soup it up, or leave it bare - youre choice! Tons of available aftermarket and TRD accessories. You cant beat this car!!!

Love my xB - 2008 Scion XB
By randy - August 13 - 2:56 pmJust purchased the xB today and am very pleased with the vehicle. I am 65" 350 lbs and I fit very comfortable in it. The 2.4 engine is more than enough power. I am getting 27 mpg overall so far. I am very satisfied with the XB. The only thing is dealer had xB but no radio or hubcaps. They will get them monday and will add them then.

Scion xB2 = Awesomeness - 2008 Scion XB
By Matrixv01 - June 15 - 8:43 pmI love it! Its the perfect blend of slick, unique styling inside and out and urban-living functionality, all at a great price, with a great engine, sound system, and tons of cool extras all standard. I traded in my 2003 BSP Toyota Matrix for a 2008 HTM xB. I liked the xB1 but it had too many flaws for me to consider it for my next purchase. Perfect timing for a redesign. Drastically improved exterior, interior, and under the hood over the previous generation. Still has the unique, quirky-but-cool boxy look, Toyota reliability, low base price, extremely well engineered convenience and functionality, awesome upgrade Pioneer stereo. The xB possesses that "fun-to-drive" factor in excess.

I love going back to Toyota - 2008 Scion XB
By exNissanAndexHonda - May 15 - 7:06 amIve had it for a week now and have put on 500 miles. Perfect in every way: power, torque, cool automatic transmission that I can shift manually because my wife wanted auto and I wanted stick. With the sport shift, I dont even need Toyotas 30 hp supercharger. Quality is excellent, repeat excellent. It corners better (more flat) than my old 99 Nissan Maxima SE which was rated at .79g whereas the Scion xB is .81g and the car magazines say its 0-60 mph is 7.5 seconds and 1/4 mile is 16 sec at 90mph which is same as my 99 Nissan Maxima.

Go Granny Go - 2008 Scion XB
By Mike - May 5 - 10:56 amWhat a cool ride. My wife saw it and fell in love. To me it looks like a mix of a Honda Element and a PT Cruiser. With everything this vehicle has to offer, I am sure that sales will explode, as more and more people find out what they are missing. And also, watch out for the price to start going up, as there is no other car on the market that can compete with the price and standard equipment.
