The 2006 Scion xB receives a new steering wheel with audio controls, and the Pioneer audio system has a new head unit design and remote mini-jack port for portable music sources. Additionally, the xB wagon offers dedicated Apple iPod connectivity, which delivers iPod display information and allows unit control and recharging through the audio system. In other news, the xB's horsepower rating drops from 108 to 103 due to new SAE testing procedures.

  • The Perfect Vehicle - 2006 Scion XB

I saw these cars before, but I thought it was junk - a big box usually means junky, burning of fuel, bad performance and expensive. I never wanted to know about it. A week ago I went to a Toyota dealer looking for a small wagon. They showed me a Scion xA. I got home and did some research about Scion and found the xB. Man, that junky box was exactly my dreamed car! A wagon for moving my stuff, small outside, roomy inside, fantastic MPG, with an incredible low price. It is very easy to rule out all other vehicles: SUVs and vans are too big and too gas hungry; sedans cannot take large stuff; other small wagons (including xA) are too small inside. Nothing else is this perfect.

  • Why 2008 - 2006 Scion XB
    By -

Why would anyone want a 2008 Xb. I could have bought a new 2008 but I looked for 6 months for a clean, low mileage 2006 because of the better gas mileage, greater headroom and legroom. I own a 2005 Grand Caravan a 1999 Tacoma and the 2006 Scion. The BOX is my favorite and I drive it most of the time. Most things you buy 6 months later you wish you still had your money in your pocket. Not with the Scion, We love it. I think with gas projected to be 4.50 a gallon by midsummer that Toyota screwed up with the new 2008 Scion.

Although I have only owned this car for two weeks now, I feel confident that I made a fantastic purchase. It handles well, the interior is well thought out, and its "tight as a tick."

  • Take it from me -- Youre Safe! - 2006 Scion XB
    By -

I just rolled my Scion xb. it rolled onto the drivers side and I climbed out without a scratch! No windows broken, no roof or hood damage, no rear damage. Just point of impact (and its not that bad really) and scratches all along the drivers side since it was laying on that side. This is a safe car, guys, and Im a lucky gal.

  • Good stuff - 2006 Scion XB

I bought this car early 2004. It runs great i have driven from Los Angeles to Denver Colorado. Lots of fun! No problems, A couple of trim and finish issues but besides that everything with this car is GREAT. I have the custom intake and exhaust. The only downside of this car is no pick up! However there is enough power to get through the Rockies in the snow without a problem.

  • Coolest Mom Ever - 2006 Scion XB
    By -

Yes, Ive now been elevated to coolest Mom status ever by by 10 and 14 year old sons. I test drove the car on their recommendation, and basically fell in love with it after the first drive! Why love..because Ive been a van driver for 12 years and am now thrilled to be in such a groovy little car. My husband loved the price, the great gas mileage and the fact that his 62 frame fit comfortably in the car. We had previously test drove even some SUVs which did not compare as far as interior comfort and size. The styling is smart and I love the appearance. The large interior feel of the car doesnt seem to match what appears to be a tiny car from the outside.

  • Love the Box - 2006 Scion XB

The Scion xB is the first vehicle Ive had that draws so much attention. It is very fun to drive and I couldnt ask for better gas milage. The power isnt all that great, but I didnt want a race car. It would be better if there was a front dome light and a better armrest. I give it an A+!

  • Inside the Box - 2006 Scion XB

This car is bigger on the inside than it is on the outside. Entry and exit are easier than anything I have owned since 1952. Its rear seat leg room is great. The four cylinder engine has adequate power to keep up with the traffic and the gas mileage is a very nice, 31 around town. This is a keeper.

  • Great car - 2006 Scion XB

Great car. I was an auto mechanic for 27 years. 147,000 miles and only front brakes, oil change and tires. Only thing i can tell you. Its not for sale. You need a great car buy one. Remember mine is not for sale. P.S. its also fun to drive.

  • Its about the MPG - 2006 Scion XB
    By -

Traded a 2000 Jetta for this because we had a 2nd kid on the way. No chance wed all fit in the Jetta. Its been fantastic. I used to miss my manual, but Ive gotten over that. Im 62" and have plenty room all around. Even the infant seat fit behind me. Plus it has calmed down my driving. There was an instant 10mph slow-down on the highway. Then, as gas prices kept rising Ive dialed my old man driving skills way up.
