  • Love my Toaster - 2006 Scion XB

From day one, I enjoyed owning this car. I got the Special Edition RS 3.0 in Envy Green and it turns heads. With the front and rear sway bars and cold air intake package installed, its performance seems to have increased and it handles very nicely. Everyone that rides in the rear seat remarks on how roomy it is. With the rear seats down it swallowed a 5,500 watt generator in the box with room to spare. At 9,500 miles, nothing has broken yet, and I do not expect any failures. So far 31.8 mpg I am getting on average and 34 on a 1,600 mile trip at highway speeds with the a/c on.

This is the car to own, I love it! I bought it to have a reliable car to get back and forth to work with. Now that I have it I dont think I will ever want to get rid of it. For the price and standard features you get, I was simply amazed. $15,200 out the door (thats tax tags and everything!) I do not recommend getting options from the dealer. The extras are so overpriced (armrest, leather steering wheel..etc) unless you want them rolled up in the loan amount, get them off eBay from a reputable seller. Ive done a lot of things to my box to personalize it, but just the standard car is great! I didnt like these when I first saw them, but once I went to the dealership I feel in love!

  • What a car! - 2006 Scion XB

I love this car. We got it for our son to drive but I have fallen for it and would much rather drive it than my Honda Mini-Van. It handles very well, zips in and out of tight places and has an amazing amount of room inside. Also, you range of vision is excellent driving this car. I know it is marketed to the Gen Xers, but Toyota got this one right! Love the funky look too!

I recently purchased a new 2006 Scion xB. I love the style, way it handles, its standard features, and all the possibilities there are to customize it. I bought mine with only the standard features. I found that a lot of the addons through Scion were costly. I purchased things like floor mats, a cargo net, and arm rest for half the price on-line. It came standard with a 6 speaker pioneer stereo with CD and an auxilary jack for my MP3 player. It has remote keyless entry and it gets great gas mileage. This summer its been great to take to the beach. I just put the back seats down and through the cooler, chairs, umbrella, boogy boards all in the back and off to the beach I went.

i bought my 2006 Scion xB 3.5 weeks ago and already have 3,100 miles on it. It is a lot of fun to drive. It looks small outside, but it is huge on the inside. I have already bought a lot of aftermarket accessories for it - which only make it even better. Mine is an automatic and it gets between 29 to 34 miles per gallon. This is an awesome commuter car and it likes to cruise at 75 mph, which is only at 3,000 rpm. The other day I burned a quarter tank and went to gas station to get gas and laughed when it took 3 gals to get back on full. I havent had any problems in the wind at all - but the windshield does attract a lot of bugs. I love my box and it is worth the $16,719 that I paid "out the door"!

This car is an incredible gas saver, it gets nearly 40 mpg on a vehicle as aerodynamic as a brick. It goes zero to sixty in less than 4 seconds, which makes it fun to stomp on the gas. It has lots of room for the kids and it is easy to change seat configurations, even my kids can do it. The stock audio system can blast your doors off.

I look forward to driving my Scion xB. It has an excellent heater and a/c. It only needs better interior lighting. Its a little noisy at highway speeds. I would like to see a diesel engine in the future

I love my Scion! It is so much fun to drive! This little toaster is roomy too, it fits both my husband and son in the back seat and they are over 6 feet tall! My model has leather seats and a sunroof. Its fabulous!

  • Its Cool to be Square - 2006 Scion XB

I have had my xB for a year now with 12,000 miles on it, so this review has substance. So far the car has been flawless as far as reliability and nothing breaking even with a 5 and 16 year olds jumping all over the back. Here are some of the highlights of this car: 1) MPG of course averaging 33 combine daily commuting and weekend driving. 2) commanding view with comfortable seating. Can see traffic ahead. 3) room for 4 teenagers that needs to be driven everywhere. 4) Agile (sporty) handling. For the price there is no complaint if you are looking for a commuter car and trips to the local grocery and malls this is all you need. I wish I could take it on a cross country trip with my family.

  • VW Van Fun, but Cheaper - 2006 Scion XB
    By -

I have been told that my car is ugly but I love it inside and out. It gets 30 mpg in town and 35 mpg on the road usually, which equates to about 33 to 34 mpg average. This car reminds me of the VW van I drove for years with the view and the roomy feeling inside. It runs quietly and has plenty of get up and go power to pass when I need too.
