Overview & Reviews
In an effort to get buyers under 30 into its dealerships, Toyota launches an all-new division called Scion. The brand will eventually grow to three models, but for now two are offered, one of these a boxy, attention-getting vehicle called the xB. Scion will use a no-haggle sales strategy and give buyers ample opportunity to customize their xBs, drawing upon a list of over three dozen dealer-installed options.
- Massive interior for its size, unusual mini-truck styling, long list of standard equipment, comes with stability control, handles well for a budget-priced vehicle.

Love it so far - 2004 Scion XB
By tpat3 - February 17 - 2:00 amIts a blast to drive and gets a whole lot of attention. Still dont know what magic Toyota performed to get so much space into such a small package, but its really incredible. I was worried about it being underpowered, but its plenty quick and very agile. I mostly use it for commuting and its great zipping through traffic: you can fit this car through some very small holes. Handles like a go-kart, ride is firm but harsh and brakes are pretty good, too. Only been on the highway once, but got to speed quickly and is stable.

I love my Toyota...and Scion. - 2004 Scion XB
By MotegiScion - January 17 - 10:00 amI am considered generation Y and a loyal Toyota customer. In my 24 years, I have owned three Toyota Celicas. I was looking for a new car, for my daily commute into Washington, DC. I needed a 4-door (to handle my morning and evening commuters), but it also needed to be small enough to maneuver through DCs crowded roads. The high gas mileage, reliable performance, attractive styling, and low cost were everything that I hoped for in my next car... and it stayed in the Toyota family. I am MORE than satisfied with the purchase of my first NEW car.

It is what it is - 2004 Scion XB
By BlueTurtle - January 5 - 2:00 amThis car is as much fun to drive as a high performance vehicle. No, it is not going to go 0 to 60 in 5 seconds, but who cares. There is nothing like it. It is a nice change of pace from my WRX and is just as cool. In fact, it receives more looks of awe than my WRX ever does.

Scionized - 2004 Scion XB
By playrawkstar - December 12 - 10:00 amMy Scion XB has provided an awesome driving experience. Its spacious interior and great gas mileage make it an A+ automobile. Its fun on the road - handles well and has a good amount of pep considering its small engine size. Its definitely a city car, but runs just fine on the freeway...

LOVE my XB - 2004 Scion XB
By niftynails - November 30 - 2:00 amI am in love with this unique little/big car! Driving it is fun and spunky. Went from a gas guzzling Chevy gun boat to this little sipper. Love the attention it gets on the street. The expansive windows are wonderful. Entry and exit is very easy. Driving use to be a drudge but now I am loving it.

By Marlene Andrews - October 12 - 2:00 amWe liked our first Scion XB so much that we purchased a second XB about a month later. Theres plenty of room for groceries and kids school and sports stuff. You cant beat the awesome gas mileage! The customer service rep who helped us at Longo Toyota, Verone, was great. We ordered the Scions and then were in and out of the dealership within an hour!

Pierres xB - 2004 Scion XB
By Pierre - September 1 - 4:16 amThis car is fun to drive and turns heads in town. Although it is marketed to the young crowd it is a great car for people over 50 because it is very easy to get in and out. The legs room in the back is outstanding even for tall people. My father-in-law is 8 tall and he still has room before in knees. When the back seats are down the cargo volume is huge for a car this size.

Best of Two worlds - 2004 Scion XB
By paulcat - August 31 - 9:36 amI have a 2004 Scion xB A/T. I recently took a 2,000 mile trip through the east, averaging 34.8 mpg at about 75 mph with the AC on. It rides according to the road surface, meaning, a good road = a good ride...jarring bumps, you get the picture. Im 61" and 230 lbs. and find it to be an easy drive. My mate is 50" and 135 pounds, and she gets excellent thigh support, but the pedals are far away, with the steering wheel very close, and the proximity of the A pillar and the outside mirror blocks her line of sight. I chose the xB because it was the BEST compromise between a van and a compact car, that suited my style.
