In an effort to get buyers under 30 into its dealerships, Toyota launches an all-new division called Scion. The brand will eventually grow to three models, but for now two are offered, one of these a boxy, attention-getting vehicle called the xB. Scion will use a no-haggle sales strategy and give buyers ample opportunity to customize their xBs, drawing upon a list of over three dozen dealer-installed options.

  Great for the San Francisco Bay area. This car/truck is used in business and as a family run around. Interior large enough to pick up merchandise and deliver medium size aquariums with stands. Daughters take it most of the spare time. As a big man 280lbs 61" I finally fit into a small car and its great. cons: This is not a touring car and is not in the same class as Yukon or a Lincoln, extreme long trips are out. As a local business vehicle the Xb is that perfect fit bigger than a car but smaller than a minivan

  BUYING THIS CAR WAS THE BEST DECISION I EVER MADE. I WAS LIMITED ON CASH BEING RECENTLY MARRIED AND BUYING A HOUSE SO I HAD A LIMITED MARKET. NO TO MENTION BOTH MY WIFE AND I ARE OVER 6 FEET TALL. WE BOTH FIT IN THIS VEHICLE WITH PLENTY, AND I MEAN PLENTY OF LEG ROOM. EVEN THE REAR SEAT HAS AMPLE LEG ROOM WITH FRONT SEATS ALL THE WAY BACK. GREAT FUEL ECONEMY, AWSOME PERFORMANCE EVEN WITH THE SMALLER MOTOR. A MUST HAVE FOR THE YOUNGER FAMILIES WITH NOT ALOT TO SPEND.

  Great car, lots of standard features, good gas mileage 35+. Lots of room for such a small looking car. Would recommend this car to anyone.

  If you want a fun ride and what to turn heads, here it is! THE SCION XB. I have own many cars but the XB is the best by far. The cool look, low price and the more then enough room for an army is what sold my wife and I. A newly married couple wanting a car that will fit our on going moving life style it was the best car for us. Fitting everything we need for mountain biking, camping or what ever life throw our way The XB has room for it. My wife and I love to drive it, its a very smooth ride. The Big front wind shield and placment of the speedometer keeps everything in plan view. You dont even have to take your eyes from the road. But out of all of it.

  Rattles fixed/MPG gets better? - 2004 Scion XB

  Rattles from the dash took two visits to fix! CD player keeps skipping here and there for no apparant reason (audio cds). The rear bumper looks uneven, but I will worry about that later while under warranty.

  I have built custom cars for the past 10 years and I get more looks with this car stock than i did with any of my other projects. now that i have started tricking my xb out you would not believe the attention and stares I get.

  I first noticed on a business trip to Japan last year that many of the car were boxy looking "mini-vans" but they looked cool. I immediately upon seeing the xB here took one for a test drive and was very impressed that my 61" frame could fit comfortably in the back seat with the front seats positioned all the way back without touching my knees. The cargo space is very adequate for 90% of what I need to carry. Although the stock configuration is under powered, I have managed to make it acceptable by adding the optional Cold Air Intake. This is a mandatory option in my opinion. I have also added exhaust headers and a larger muffler to gain power. with no hit on gas MPG.

  I just got my new Xb. It is everything and more than i expected. I even got 34 mph with my first take of gas. It is so comfortable and fun to drive! Lots of room, handles great for such a high vehicle. You cant beat this car for the price!!

  Great unusual inexpensive roomy car! - 2004 Scion XB

  By the price I paid its the best car I could buy! Unusually roomy, camfortable enough, peppier then I was thinking, gave me 32.5 mpg (auto) with a/c on on the highway (250 mi trip). I added a central front armrest ($99, eBay), 3 output lighter socket for my cell and radar detector, map light and batt. operated trunk light (all for $30, Walmart) Thats it! If you are not expecting to buy BMW or Mercedes for $15K you are going to be extremely happy! Have a great ride!
