This Year's Model Updates:

In an effort to get buyers under 30 into its dealerships, Toyota launches an all-new division called Scion. The brand will eventually grow to three models, but for now two are offered, one of these a boxy, attention-getting vehicle called the xB. Scion will use a no-haggle sales strategy and give buyers ample opportunity to customize their xBs, drawing upon a list of over three dozen dealer-installed options.

Pros:
  • Massive interior for its size, unusual mini-truck styling, long list of standard equipment, comes with stability control, handles well for a budget-priced vehicle.
Cons:

  • Rough Drivers beware - 2004 Scion XB

I loved it, then I hit a bump lightly , the curve lightly and snow bank not so lightly. Things seem to snap, crack and split on this car very easily. I am probably too aggressive of a driver but be aware that the grille, grates and bumpers are not strong or well secured. But what a great car for performance if you have the 5 speed manual. It is fun and fast. The head room and leg room are incredible. I am 63" and I fit in this car great. I have moved some many things inside this car, its as good as van.

  • THE BEST SCION xB ON THE ROAD - 2004 Scion XB

The scion xB is the best car to be today. The reason is because of the price, the fuel economy 31MPG city and 34MPG highway and the ways you can trick it out. Who would have thought that you could get a brand new vehicle for only $13,000 and trick it out and it would only cost you about $21,046. You can trick out the rims the exaust pipe and audio system to about 2000 watts of power. The name "Scion" is actually a low priced Toyota aimed ay young buyers. The scion xB also has 160HP V6 engine. The xB is also available with a 4-speed automatic transmission. The 4-speed automatic tranmission can about $14,440.

  • The ultimate city car - 2004 Scion XB

This is by far the best car Ive ever owned. Low maintenance and very simple in its layouts, technical features and style. I bough it in the sates cuz you cant buy them in Canada, and it had 80K mil on the meter and I noticed that the engine had been over worked by the looks of it but still it has excellent go and acceleration. If you live in a big city with narrow streets and dont drive on the high way or the freeway allot nothing over 120 km...um 70 mph I think, then this car will be perfect even as a family car but if you commute to work and drive allot on the highway then this car is not for you.

This car is so much fun to drive. It drives like a sports car, and it is phenomenal for city driving. It zips out of tight situations, and no parking space is too small for this car.

I love this auto. Design resembles small British taxi cab. I keep being stopped by people asking about this car. Its fun to drive, peppy, fuel friendly and I love the design. Inside room is unbelievable. Last car I owned was a Lexus. I could buy 3 Scions for 1 Lexus.

This car is great fun to drive, and for the money, it is a great bargain. It needs a few more features to make it a truly great car - such as: a driver right side arm rest, an indoor light in the front of the car, and lighted mirrors on the flip side of the front window visors. A tiny bit more space in the back would be fabulous. Having said all this, I am in love with this car. Oh, a tiny bit more pick-up and speed wouldnt hurt either. Hope this is helpful information.

We are a family of four and this car has been perfect. More than enough room for all of us and the groceries, too. Its not too big and not too small and was by far 100 times better than anything else in our price range. Its so affordable, easy to drive, comfortable and has so many awesome standard features. We also like that its fun and unique. I understand marketing to a younger, hipper crowd, but I think it would be a great middle ground/middle of the road, yet top of the line vehicle for just about anyone.
