This Year's Model Updates:

In an effort to get buyers under 30 into its dealerships, Toyota launches an all-new division called Scion. The brand will eventually grow to three models, but for now two are offered, one of these a boxy, attention-getting vehicle called the xB. Scion will use a no-haggle sales strategy and give buyers ample opportunity to customize their xBs, drawing upon a list of over three dozen dealer-installed options.

Pros:
  • Massive interior for its size, unusual mini-truck styling, long list of standard equipment, comes with stability control, handles well for a budget-priced vehicle.
Cons:

very fun, economical vehicle. ride with stock tires was a little harsh, but a set of pirellis helped a lot. quality of fit and finish is outstanding. the offset speedo and info panel is rather awkward. really dont like it all but car is so much fun to drive ill live with it

I am not part of the demographic market of this vehicle. As a middle-aged couple, my wife and I were looking for an inexpensive, reliable, "toodle around town" car. Boy, did we make a good choice. This is a comfortable car to drive. It has more interior space than we know what to do with, power to spare, and great handling.

I absolutly love my Scion xb. I went on vacation a while ago and could not wait to come home so I could drive her again. If you are going to get look into the sunroof, it is huge and I love it. I was originally going to get an xa, but I am so glad I got the xb instead. It is such a better value then the xa in my opinion. If you are thinking about one, dont wait go get it, you will love it! I only have two minor complaints- I wish it had more power and I wish it had automatic lights since my last car did and I keep forgetting to turn them on and off. To compinsate for the power issue get a cold air intake, I think it helped a lot!

I went from a 2001 Honda Civic to the xB. Even though the Scion has less horsepower than the Civic, there is no noticable power difference. I Scion drives better than the Civic ever did. I love that I got a roomy car for a very reasonable price- and it turns out that I am expecting in November (Plenty of baby room!!). One thing that is for certain- the xB will get you attention- good or bad. (I am the first person in my West Tennessee area to be driving a Scion.) Overall- I love my Scion!!

  • Greatest Car I ever owned - 2004 Scion XB

Only have 800 miles so far, but its by far the most fun car Ive ever driven. This car is a cruiser so speed isnt its strong point, but the standard options and suprisingly effective factory sound system more than make up for a lack of horsepower. A must own for first time new car buyers and the young at heart.

great on gas, looks good, gets a lot of comments, roomy, not to mention it doesnt break the bank and you still get a brand new car

  • Impressed - 2004 Scion XB

We just picked up our Scion xB last week and I have to say that I was very impressed. The engine feels like it has a lot more power than 108 hp. Everyone that has seen the car has commented very positively on the car looks and interior room. Not too bad for a car that was under $15,000.

  • Awesome Car for Size and Price - 2004 Scion XB

Scions are my new saving grace, low price for a high performing car with sporty styling.
