Fun little sports car!! - 1999 Pontiac Grand AM
By Brandon - October 12 - 2:36 pmI love my grand am, but have had some problems with it. The window motors absolutely suck. I have had to replace both sides twice. The mirrors are also pretty flimsy. One of them broke off while getting a car wash. Otherwise i love driving it. It has a decent sound system and is very reliable.

99 Pontiac Grand am is a good car! - 1999 Pontiac Grand AM
By nathan santorello - June 26 - 5:40 amoverall this car is really reliable and nice to drive. Some pros about this car is that its small but big enough to pick up some friends with it and stuff like that. I go back and forth to college and it really works great. i have had no big probelms with it. it goes really good through the winter with studded snow tires. also had really great interior. some cons about this car is that the light bulbs on it for some reason go out like every two weeks and i have to keep on replacing them. and the tires lose air a lot and my low traction light keeps coming on, but it does not cause a real big problem. otherwise, its a great car!

Love my Grand Am - 1999 Pontiac Grand AM
By alie0313 - June 7 - 2:30 pmI have had this car for 5 years now, bought off my aunt. It has 150,000 miles on her and she still runs like new! Ive had to replave the power steering pump and chip that controls electricals on the dash at about 140,000 miles. Other than that, she runs great, mpg is good and plenty of room for a family!!

Great All Around Car - 1999 Pontiac Grand AM
By mortons - May 17 - 2:00 amMy wife and I bought this car used (rental). To our surprise the four cyl. version was just as powerful at a lower price. Some of the interior bits are less than perfect (cupholders??), but shouldnt deter someone from buying the car if they dont have to have a drink with them all the time.

Do not buy into the certified - 1999 Pontiac Grand AM
By raton - May 6 - 10:00 amI bought a 1999 grand am certified car with 22,000 miles in Aug of 2002. I thought I had got a great buy for 12,000. I was wrong. I found out that I had to replace the intake manifold gasket at a cost of $600.00. I did some researching and found out that this is a common problem with these cars. of course they had to do other things that the intake caused total in repairs coast $890.00. intake manifold normally last a lot longer than 4 years and 40,000 miles in most other cars.

Time to trade it in! - 1999 Pontiac Grand AM
By Jennifer S. - March 18 - 10:00 amI bought my 1999 Grand Am GT1 new. This car is all about small things breaking all the time. I got a lot of things fixed under warranty. Unfortunately, a lot of things broke when it went out of warranty. The brakes continue to be a problem. I need new pads every year and am on my 3rd set of rotors. On the brighter side, I have close to 100,000 miles and she still runs like a champ. This car is so much fun to drive.I dont think any car is worth what you pay for it, but I am happy I bought this car. If you are thinking of buying this car, please make sure you like to work on cars and do lots of brake jobs!
