Fun and reliable - 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora
By srcorvettez06 - September 1 - 5:10 amThe harder I beat on this car the more it asks for. I have a cool air intake and I painted the brakes and mufflers with rustoleum. Im 17 and really beat on my car. Its faster than it looks. After port and polishing the intake, I was able to keep up with a Camaro RS with a 305ci. The 3.5 has a lot of potential. Removing the Cat and Res boosted 12 Horses at the front wheels. Intake was about another 5 with port and polish adding 8. My only recommendation to everyday drivers is getting a set of Goodyear Assurance Luxurys. I ride on Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3. They can take the Aurora around corners at about 3X the speed limit. Really expensive but they last forever.

Fantastic Car - 1999 Oldsmobile Aurora
By herbk - August 8 - 2:00 amI have 103,000 miles on my second Aurora and have had nothing but fun and reliability from this car. Great power, nice looking, and super dependable. It was a sad day when they changed this body style then dropped the Aurora completely.

A great, low-key luxury car - 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora
By lola - August 1 - 8:43 amI bought the Aurora because I wanted a great luxury car that was also understated (unlike a Lexus or Audi). It is fantastic on long trips or around town. I like it so much that I now have 2!

I like it, I love it, - 1999 Oldsmobile Aurora
By n9qej - July 28 - 10:00 amThis Olsmobile Aurora is the most comfortable sedan ever had. We rate it better than Buick, Chryler, Mercury,Cadillac and Lincoln! Large trunk, and great smooth touring vehicle as well as fine in metropolitans areas also. All items are easy to access and so convenient to operate with controls on dash as well as on steering wheel. The cozy contour of the dash is marvelous. Appreciate the 100000 mile rust warranty on the vehicle and would that all car manufacturers have as much reliability on their vehicles. It is nice to have oil filter, air filter, fluid(s)check areas convenient also.

Young at heart Aurora - 1998 Oldsmobile Aurora
By mesajohn - May 27 - 10:46 amI was checking for a caddy when the Aurora jumped at me from the dealership floor. This one was Marine green (thats me,) with two-tone tan and burl interior and loaded. The V-8 performed like a rocket ship and the car cornered like a racecar. I was 24 years old again! The car is subtle in its appearance but when the young kids pull up beside this grandpa at a light and start revving, I show them what a jackrabbit start is really all about. Gotta go. Its time for my geritol.

Very Reliable - 1998 Oldsmobile Aurora
By RK - May 2 - 10:00 amOnly problem so far been a broken drivers side door handle, and it can be a little difficult to fill at the gas pump. Other then that it was a very sweet ride. The New 2001+ Auroras look like an Intrigue, a big mistake by olds.

Great car - 1998 Oldsmobile Aurora
By AMW - April 25 - 2:00 amOverall a great car. In 5 years and 70000 miles, replaced alternator once. Rubber seal around windshield came loose at 50,000 miles. A tube of super glue solved that problem. Top performance and comfort on highway.
