  • Beautiful Car - 1999 Oldsmobile Aurora

I just bought my dream car. 1999 Olds Aurora with 94,000 miles for $6500. I have been looking for months. Its white pearl with tan. It is so quiet, I cannot even hear the engine, unless you roll down the windows and kick it .....then hear it roar. Its a pity customers buy foreign cars when such quality cars are made in America. Buy American.

  • Awesome Aurora - 1999 Oldsmobile Aurora

Ive owned this Aurora since 8/2002 and have had no problems. 25k when purchased and 50k currently. V8 growls with plenty of power, gas mileage is not bad for a V8, approx. 21mpg. Stereo is very nice, heated seats are awesome, tons of room in the back seats, power seats are nice. Only problem is very little headroom in front drivers seat, Ive adjusted the seats as many ways as imaginable and just make it...Im only 6? Otherwise, awesome car!

  • Best American Sedan Ever Built - 1999 Oldsmobile Aurora

The Aurora was years ahead of the car market in every aspect in 1994 when it introduced the first Aurora and is truly a great car in every way. This was my 3rd Aurora, a 1999, I previously had a 1995 and I also still have a 1997 Aurora (with 194,000 miles). This is the best American sedan built. Ive looked for several years for an American made car to replace the 1999 and there are none that can top it. Living in America and also living in Michigan, I will not drive a foreign car.

I bought this car brand new in 1999 and now have 191,000 miles on it. I drive it actually pretty hard and it has never let me down. It has awesome acceleration and reliablity too. The only things Ive had to have replace were the water pump at 120,000 miles and the radiator at 180,000. The front breaks were changed about every 70,000 miles (Im on my third set in the front and the original rear breaks lasted until about 110,000 - Im on my second set now. The spark plug wires were changed at 150,000 miles at the suggestion of the dealership. Im actually still on the same battery (I thought at first it was a dumb idea to put it under the back seat Im starting to re-think that, it has helped it last). It started at -17 F after sitting two days in sub-zero this week.

  • Good Bye - 1999 Oldsmobile Aurora

Ah, I am an EDS employee and bought my 1999 Aurora at the "dealer" price. A steal, I though. It has served me well. Has never been down. I had my water pump go at 68000, and my catalitic converter at 69000. The catalytic converter was actually under warrantee. I just adore this car. The shape, the acceleration. The seating position. Have still n9t needed to replace the brakes!

  • great car,so comfortable - 1999 Oldsmobile Aurora

THis is the best car I have ever had. THe on board computer tells you everything. THe power is great. Heavy car you never will feel so safe, yet it looks sporty. Guys love this car its a mans car. Trunk space is great and the heated seats, if you live in a cold climate you dont even need to use heat cause the seats are like two furnaces. simply a real classy car, thats fun to drive. I wont sell it any time soon.

  • Great buy for entry luxury - 1999 Oldsmobile Aurora

Got a great deal on this one. It was in excellent shape with 63k miles for $8500. It was from a dealer and detailed. The car is great with wonderful V8 power. It rides and handles well. The interior is comfortable and suits me well with a cockpit design.

  • Be careful... - 1999 Oldsmobile Aurora

Auroras are nice..but be very careful when buying one. Northstar engine is notorious for having leaky head gaskets at the back of the engine. they have a GREAT deal of power..but if you ask me, the heads were not designed to take the power. Interior was great. Options were wonderful. Has 174000 miles on it and all the bearings needed replaced at the same time! thermostat is $51!~ Tires are hard to find and expensive! Parts are very expensive..and they hold no resale value cause Oldsmobile is closed and the Northstar has a bad rep. I drove five of these before I found mine.

  • The best - 1999 Oldsmobile Aurora

I have owned Auroras since Oct of 1994 and have never driven a better car. I am very disapointed that GM has chosen to first down-grade the car and then discontinue it, and Oldsmobile. How dumb can a Management be to dump the countries oldest name plate. Anyway, I realize GMs decision has hurt the Aurora for near-future resale value but I do believe they will come back as a collector car in the future. In the mean time Ive moved to the Pontiac SSEi as the next best thing!
