BLOWN TRANSMISSION on Test Drive - 2004 Nissan Titan
By doctorleevil - November 5 - 2:00 amTest Drives, what are they for? Seeing what your future puppy can do. I was driving the new Titan as anyone would on a test drive when the rear end chirped and the tranny downshifted extremely roughly. This was followed by a floaty rpm range with no forward movement. After trying to go around the block i realized we were stuck in 3rd (no it wasnt the manual gear lock on the shifter). After a few mintes the check engine light was glowing.

Bark is as loud as the bite! - 2004 Nissan Titan
By danzspkrman - October 12 - 5:43 amGreat truck. Far cry from going from a decent car(Nissan Sentra 02). Traded it in on an 04 Titan. 2nd one off of the delivery truck (Dec03). Had it a year and a half. Very smooth, comes in handy for looking around at new developments(I am now a real estate agent) and to say the least, getting lost on the undeveloped dirt roads is fun(as long as you have plenty of gas and a tolarant client).Fosgate Stereo is a nice feature, for a stock offering that would otherwise suck. My wife can get bored, fill the bed full of yard material(dirt, mulch etc), and it doesnt even notice. The sad thing is that I am considering refinancing the thing for 6 years(lost other job) just so I can try to keep it.

it rocks! - 2004 Nissan Titan
By zigtaw - September 24 - 2:00 amafter driving all of the crew cabs on the market, i chose the titan. finally, a japanese truck(actually, its from tennessee)that is big enough for the whole family. the motor is powerful, the transmission smooth and the interior is HUGE! plus, check out the way it looks. the ford is the only truck that comes close in styling, but the titan beats it hands down in performance and quality. ford, chevy and dodge-watch out!

Big Truck - 2004 Nissan Titan
By bobby jackson - September 13 - 10:00 amWhen shopping for a new truck, I only looked at the Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan. Thought that the Japanese makers would have higher quality. But after only 4 months of ownership thing are already going wrong. The brakes stared to shimmy after only 2 months and the interior is already starting to fall apart. Buttons on knobs are falling off. The rubber around the door is also falling off. For a full- size pick-up truck, this thing is a little too refined and fragile on the inside. This makes me wish I had looked at the more traditional U.S. makers such as Dodge, Ford, and GMC, or went with the Toyota.

New to the Nissan product........... - 2004 Nissan Titan
By lizandmark - September 13 - 10:00 amWe just bought this vehicle, but so far we are quite pleased. We had also looked at the Tundra, but for the $, the Titan was a better buy. So far, so good.

Nissan LE 4X4 4 door - 2004 Nissan Titan
By Zivko - August 25 - 3:43 amMost people rate their trucks a few days after they buy them. I have had this truck for several months and overall it is a very poorly manufactured/designed vehicle. Rattles everywhere, windows do not come down when it gets cold, door wont close when it gets cold. Engine noise at idle. I have had almost all manufacturers of truck and this is the worst by far. Not all Japanese cars are the same. Toyota, Honda are great, Nissan is not.

Great but not perfect - 2004 Nissan Titan
By djfultoz - August 9 - 5:16 pmLove to drive my Titan. Lots of performance and sounds great. Room for the family. Good value for the money. Had problems with the gas gauge and interior lights. The gas gauge problem was with the sending unit in the gas tank. The part was on back order and took 3 weeks to repair as I drove a Sentra rental provided by the dealer. Like the adjustable pedals and power drivers seat.....easy to get good driving position. I get a so-so 16 to 18 mpg without the big tow pkg or 4 wheel- drive. Overall, this is a very nice truck and like it MUCH more than my former 2001 Tundra.

A little disappointed with this truck - 2004 Nissan Titan
By stonemedal - August 2 - 10:00 amThe truck looks nice, rides nice, but two things are driving me crazy.....when the A/C is on low it sounds like someone is breathing with an iron lung under my dashboard. The second thing, when driving at 55, the exhaust note is annoying, too loud and constant. I wonder if anyone out there is experiencing that?
