This Year's Model Updates:

Crew cab models receive a standard power up/down rear window with defroster, while all models get a tailgate with dampened assist. Other changes include new active head restraints for the driver and front passenger, new badging on the front doors and a unique wheel finish for SE models. The LE receives brushed aluminum interior trim accents and a leather-appointed bench seat is available in place of the buckets. The popular spray-in bedliner is now available as a stand-alone option on the XE.

Pros:
  • One of the best drivetrains in its class, smooth-riding suspension, spacious and functional cabin, innovative design features, available stability control and side airbags.
Cons:
  • Limited drivetrain and body style choices, no heavy-duty models, burly exhaust note can get annoying on long drives.

Overall my 2005 Nissan Titan is what I expected. It has great looks, a great engine sound, and the performance to go with it. This truck will scream just looking at the gas pedal, and the steering is awesome. No other truck can match the tightness, steering, and standard features wich come with the "LE". sprayed bed-liner, bed lock-box, tie-down rails, bed extender, etc. I dont see Ford, Dodge, or GM attempting these standard features. I use this truck as a beach buggy in the Summer, and it performs as expected "NO PROBLEMS". In fact, I have not encountered a problem of any kind so far. Bottom line: if you test drive this vehicle, you will buy it.

  • Outstanding Truck. - 2005 Nissan Titan

After a lot of research I picked the Titan and after 30 days cound not be happier. However I do realize that time will tell. But if first impressions are lasting then this is a great truck. I have had trucks for 30 years and this may be the first that is actually fun to drive. I was concerned with the size going from a Dakota to the full size Titan but its no big deal. The gas mileage is about what I expected 14-15. Considered a F150 and Tundra but fell in love with the Titan after I drove it. Value was part of the reason. Got a great deal at $3K below invioce. F150 and Tundra were more $ for less features.

  • Good performer, bad gas mileage - 2005 Nissan Titan

The truck is fast and looks great. I get a lot of compliments on the styling and I really like the way the rear doors open all the way. When looking to buy a truck, it was either going to be a Toyota Tundra or a Nissan Titan - I didnt waste my time with the American truck-makers (poor reliability, interior quality, fit and finish). My main complaint is the gas mileage - it uses a lot. Dont get the Off-Road package if you do a lot of freeway driving - I hate the stiff Rancho Shocks. Also, the drivers seating area could be a little wider. I would recommend this truck over any full size option on the market.

  • A "real" Truck! - 2005 Nissan Titan

Where to start, its got power, lots of real POWER...Its roomy, real ROOMY...The Titan is a real Truck with real power, room, CD stereo, cruise, A/C and this is just the XE model. This is a REAL TRUCK... Note: I found that most of the full sized trucks had about the same mileage rating. If youre looking for a full- sized truck then it better not for fuel economy.

  • The "TITAN" - 2005 Nissan Titan

"Titan" is a good title for my truck. I bought it very used with 87,999 miles on it and I have just completed a move from Texas to California pulling a 8,000 lbs trailer with no issues. I will drive this truck till the wheels fall off. At the rate this truck is driving i will probably die of old age first. The interior is a little dull but very reliable and very easy to use. My favorite feature is the audio controls on the steering wheel. I cant believe the trade in value is so low for such an outstanding truck. Tons of torque and get up and go power. Go get yourself one and enjoy! I change the oil every 6,000 miles with synthetic. No issues at all. Never in the shop.

  • shouldve bought one sooner - 2005 Nissan Titan

i waited for the 2nd year model to come out, so any "bugs" could be found. the mileage is great, for such a large and heavy truck. im getting 18.5 on trips away, but around 13 in town. it doesnt even feel the boat and trailer. the interior has everything youd want. im 66", and with the front seat in a position where im comfortable, i can also get in the back seat, and have a couple inches of room between my knees and the front seat. headroom is great both front and rear. the engine is extremely powerful, and ive had to learn to forget about "jack rabbit" starts. the price was good, and ive found nothing i dont like about this truck.

  • TITAN #1 - 2005 Nissan Titan

My Nissan 4x4 Titan is by far the best truck I have owned in my 35 years of driving. The truck is a class act and it has been awhile that I owned a truck that gets as many complements as My Titan. The titan drives as nice as it looks with plenty of power on or off the road, also the Titan goes in 4 wheel drive with ease.

  • I really enjoy it - 2005 Nissan Titan

I have always been a Ford truck man. I love the Titan. I have been looking at these trucks for over a year now and finally broke down and bought one......I LOVE IT. Gas mileage is normal for a truck. It is easy to get around...the rear back up beeper is great. Lots of room for all the family and friends...well thought out truck. I cannot say enough about it!!!

My experience has been really great with the truck. It pulls nicely and has everything I would ever need in a pickup. It turns a lot of heads. I have the No Fear package on mine which includes a 6 inch lift.
