This Year's Model Updates:

Crew cab models receive a standard power up/down rear window with defroster, while all models get a tailgate with dampened assist. Other changes include new active head restraints for the driver and front passenger, new badging on the front doors and a unique wheel finish for SE models. The LE receives brushed aluminum interior trim accents and a leather-appointed bench seat is available in place of the buckets. The popular spray-in bedliner is now available as a stand-alone option on the XE.

Pros:
  • One of the best drivetrains in its class, smooth-riding suspension, spacious and functional cabin, innovative design features, available stability control and side airbags.
Cons:
  • Limited drivetrain and body style choices, no heavy-duty models, burly exhaust note can get annoying on long drives.

This is my 5th full size truck (Chevy, GMC, Ford, & Dodge) and by far the Titan has been the best experience. The drive-train is second to none, the interior comfort for long hauls is terrific, and the reliability has been rock solid. Yes I did have the brake recall performed (at 32K miles), but it just wasnt a big deal. Im very picky about braking, handling, and performance and it was pretty obvious that the front rotors were undersized. Since I was using the truck as a long distance runner, it just wasnt a big deal.

The Power, The Looks I get, The Feel, The Roominess, The Comfort for 5 Passengers in an Extended Cab, The Innovative Design, The Handling, The Sound System... I could go on forever singing the praises of this truck. Nissan offers something in the Titan that no other manufacturer has ever cared to offer. This is an investment worth every dollar. Sure the gas mileage is low, but its a truck, with an EXTREMELY Powerful and responsive engine - put a K&N filter on it, ease up on the gas, and the gas mileage I am getting sometimes peaks over 18mpg!!! (highway of course). There was the brake glitch, I took it back once, the fixed it and its gone. Leave the Domestics... this is the KING

Test drove every half ton on the market and no regrets on the Titan SE Crew Cab. Overall Toyota Tundra rides more quite and smooth, but not offering the towing capability and power of the Titan which I need. No problems to report after 6200 miles. Nissan did an excellent job gathering a lot of information to win over anyone looking to buy a truck before putting the Titan together. If youre looking for a full size pick-up give the Titan a test drive, you be glas you did.

Truck well thought out, good use of storage spaces -under seats, wheel well, side pockets etc. Very comfortable to drive, well built! Decent gas mileage - best truck I have ever driven and I have owned a lot.

  • 2005 Nissan Titan after a year - 2005 Nissan Titan

I am very pleased with my 2005 Titan, after one year. I purchased the truck based on looks and drive-ability I find it to be very nimble in town or on the highway. I do limited towing, I cannot really comment on heavy loads, but see more and more pulling large trailers on the road. The integrity inside and out has been solid. I had a problem with a brake vibration early, but my Nissan deal readily repaired the problem and showed me the technical bulletin. I highly recommend driving the Nissan Titan if you are in the market for a full size truck.

  • 05 Titan SE 4X4 king cab= AWESOME!!! - 2005 Nissan Titan

The Titan is exactly what a full size truck should be. Power, Reliability, Comfort and Convenience, and Versatility. Nissan has hit the mark with its first attempt at a "full size" truck and it shows! It is amazing that this car company is putting out the designs it has in recent years. I find it a breath of fresh air. Oh did I mention RELIABILITY and RESALE value?

  • Best Truck I Ever Owned - 2005 Nissan Titan

Ive purchsed a ton of trucks in my lifetime, and the Titan by miles is the best truck I have ever owned! I brought my first truck in 1987 at age 22, which happen to be a Nissan (hard body); great vehicle. As time would have it, I eventually decided to purchase a big truck. I test drove them all, for two years. Finally, Nissan decided in 2004 to get in the big truck business and the rest is history. I thank goodness for my patience to pass up purchasing a big truck from the rest and returning full circle to best! DL Boozer Jr
