Cons:
  • Limited drivetrain and body style choices, no heavy-duty models.

Plenty of smooth power. Poor stereo reception (dealer replaced entire stereo to fix), otherwise excellent vehicle.

  • Fun to Drive, Hard to pay for!! - 2004 Nissan Titan

This truck is fun, fun, fun to drive. With the 305 HP motor, it makes you feel like youre in a Mustang the size of a tank. I have only had one problem so far. The hose from the AC condenser in the dash to the outside was defective and it caused water to leek in the truck on the pasanger side. It took several trips to the dealership and 6 weeks to resolve the problem (I think it was the dealership though). If you can afford it, buy one. FUN, FUN, FUN

I have been a Ford owner forever and have never found another fullsize truck that suited me other than the Ford till the Titan It has been a pleasure to own and the most fun truck i have ever had. In addition to that I recently had my first and hope last major accident and the Titan did just what it was supposed to. it crumpled where it should and didnt where it shouldnt. The air bag was like hitting a pillow. I wiped out a telephone pole dead center of the front and was able to drive it home then shop for a repair shop. Last but not least The Box frame is built in welded segments that allowed a proper repair with little to no bending of the existing frame. GREAT TRUCK

  • Car and Drivers #1 - 2004 Nissan Titan

Car and Drivers #1 choice over the F- 150. It out performs the Hemi in almost all categories. And it has the most interior room. Not to mention the fact that it is the most innovative of the big 5.

The truck is quite good. Power is great and cab size. The Utilitrac bed system looks better on paper than in real life. Radio replaced due to poor reception. Lots of rattles but dealer has taken care of them. Major problem is with tires. Goodyear Wrangler SR-A 265-70/R18 ar passenger rated and no- one elses makes them. Have had 4 flats in last year due to gravel road hazards. No one makes a light truck tire for this yet. Two tires ruined. Two weeks to order replacements and they had same problem. I dont travel cross csoutry without a 6th tire with me.

  • Unbelievable Driving Experience - 2004 Nissan Titan

I was having my 03 Maxima serviced today, so I decided to test drive a Titan while I waited (after reading several reviews on this site) to test drive a Titan while I waited. Immediately I was hooked. It handles and performs like a sports sedan - no joke. Long story short, as of this afternoon, I have in my driveway a Titan, not a Maxima. The only thing I dont like about the truck are the seats. They are too soft for my taste. As far as exterior design, perfromance and fun to drive, this truck defies description. You have to experience it. If youre considering a truck or SUV this truck is a must test.

  • New Vehicle, expect minor problems - 2004 Nissan Titan

Purchased in June 2004.You truly have as much back seat room as front seat. I added (off- site) a spray in liner and tonneau cover for much less than dealer could have done. Made a 2450 mile trip to Colorado after owning vehicle for 3 weeks. Awesome performance and great gas mileage. With air conditioning, I averaged 17 mpg and without, 20 mpg. Yes, 20 mpg in the mountains w/o air conditioning. Had one problem on vacation. Nissan is having major problems with the regulators in the power windows. They WILL break, just ask yourself when. The window will not roll up and I drove around on vacation with a 2x4 in my door panel, but the window did stay

  • Buy One! - 2004 Nissan Titan

Overall a great buy. Roomy, spray in bedliner, good visibility, plenty of power, adjustable pedals, easy to clean cloth seats, disc brakes all around, and plenty of storage! Tires are good for road and rain but not for off road mud/snow, flip up middle seat/console fabric prone to pulling away from retaining clips, heavily baffled muffler is extremely hot and should be replaced with a less restrictive one. The only real complaint I have is with Nissan dealerships. The scams and pressure and tricks almost made me rethink my purchase. But getting the Titan was still a decision I do not regret.

Really love the Performance, and sound of the truck. Really quick. LE has an awsome Rocksford Stereo system, and has a sub-woofer under the drivers seat, you can feel the thump. Good A/C, lighted tailgate, sprayed in bed-liner, tie down system. Now for the bad news. This truck gets terrible gas milage. No matter how you drive it, easy, hard, fast or slow, it only gets 14-15.8 MPG.
