Cons:
  • Limited drivetrain and body style choices, no heavy-duty models.

  • NO MORE TITAN - 2004 Nissan Titan

Nissan had the vehicle more the last 6 months than I did. Had to replace engine at 26,000. Never did get it to run right. Just returned to dealer and traded for something else. Worst service I have ever seen form a dealer ship. Will never own another Titan.

  • Good Engine, Lots of Problems - 2004 Nissan Titan

The truck has a nice engine, and nice interior. Its very roomy and comfortable. Ive had the vehicle in for service 20 times now with continuous problems. Several recalls on the vehicle and poor customer service. The stereo wouldnt pickup AM stations overtime and then would lose signal outright. It took over 7 times to get the stereo right and still they havent put the proper face plate back onto the vehicle. Bottom line, nice engine and very comfortable, but very poorly built.

Can you spell G A S ??? Own a country in the Middle East before you buy. EPA rating of 14/20 is a myth, who tested this vehicle? Unique design, great Fosgate stereo if you play CDs, forget the radio sound. Quirky color scheme - butterscotch and gray? Japanese build quality not as good as I expected, minor problems become a nuisance. Only headphones disguise the exhaust roar...

  • I wish it worked - 2004 Nissan Titan

Bought it on a Sunday, back at the shop on Monday, Tuesday, and ever since (2 weeks and counting) with no resolution in sight. Random dash lights coming on; Nissan engineers cant resolve and Nissanusa Consumer Affairs wont say what theyre going to do. During the brief time I was able to drive it it seemed great. Too bad all the miles are to and from the shop.

Just wanted anyone that wants to know that this is by far the worst vehicle that you could buy. This truck has been one problem after another. The first major problem (the shifter locking up so that it wont shift past neutral and or out of park into drive) showed up 16 hours after I picked it up from the dealership; and by the way 7 months later it is still not fixed. Their has been a problem at least once a month. And dont even think of Nissan being any help either to you or the dealership. Half the time I called them and left messages about my file with customer service, they would even call me back. Two days ago I contacted the Better Business Bureau. PLEASE SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!

  • KEEP TRYING NISSAN - 2004 Nissan Titan

Power is good but if the engine is built with the same quality as the rest of the vehicle I worry about the reliabilty. Driving the Titan is good but certainly not exceptional. I was fortunate that my truck came complete with scuffed/damaged tires and a door ding, thus saving me the worry of my first parking lot injuries. At least the paint didnt have the big clearcoat sags I noticed in another Titan. The passenger door lock and the low pressure warning light are items to be fixed, but with the confidence I have in the dealership I think Ill suffer these problems until Nissan send the recall notice! Ill listen to the ratings next time.

  • repeating brake problems - 2004 Nissan Titan

AFTER 5000 MILES FRONT BRAKES STARTED PULSATING AND SQUEALING. HAD TRUCK IN FOR FRONT BRAKES 3 TIMES. TOTAL OF 15 DAYS DOWN TIME. NISSAN COULD NOT SUPPLY THE PARTS. OCT 04 MORE BRAKE PROBLEMS. 19000 MILES. REARS WERE SHOT. THEY WERE GOING TO CHARGE ME TO REPAIR THEM. AFTER MUCH COMPLAINING THEY REPAIRED UNDER WARRANTY. THE REARS WERE DOING ALL THE WORK WHEN THE FRONTS WERENT WORKING. ALSO POWER WINDOWS IN FRONT MALFUNCTION ALL THE TIME. 4 WHEEL DRIVE SWITCH REPLACED TWICE.

  • Nissan Front Brake Issue - 2004 Nissan Titan

Nissan needs to fix this front brake problem that they say is only in So. Ca. and NY. This will be the second time for shutter in steering due to warped rotors from brakes overheating. I guess if it isnt fixed a third time I will review the lemon law in Ca. I know others who have been there 3 times for brakes.Front window problems.
