This Year's Model Updates:

The 2008 Nissan Rogue is an all-new compact crossover SUV.

Pros:
  • Very carlike driving experience, supple ride, well-crafted interior, comfy front seats, excellent brakes, sweet-sounding optional Bose stereo.
Cons:
  • Less cargo capacity and versatility than some other compact crossovers, standard CVT is a poor match for the engine, impaired outward visibility.

  • Nissan does not deliver - 2008 Nissan Rogue

I purchased my 2008 Rouge in Dec. of 2007 and have had it back to the dealer 4 times, resulting in the replacement of 2 transmissions and 1 trans case. Now I am experiencing the transmission slipping when slowing down or stopping.

Ive had my Rogue since Dec of 2008.So far Ive had to replace the transmission at 10,000 miles. So I am very disappointed in Nissian had high expectations for this vehicle. Sure hope Nissian can get thier act together and fix this defect. Ive had Nissians in the past and this has mad me loose confidence in them.

  • Amazing Bang for your Buck!! - 2008 Nissan Rogue

I traded in an older loaded Jeep Grand Cherokee for this & thought Id miss the space but havent had the first regret. I got mine loaded so the gadget factor is really fun! I didnt know how bluetooth worked so having it shut off my music for an incoming call is great-no more missed calls(and mic picks up my tots voice in back great)! I love not having to deal with keys at all since I have a toddler. Love the Bose sound system but above all, love the ride! The drive is very smooth with CVT, once youre at speed its SUPER quiet.. turn on jazz or classical for a great experience. It hugs the road too - didnt realize how bouncy the truck frame on my Jeep was. Avgd 25 mpg. 10 stars!

  • Great Small SUV - 2008 Nissan Rogue

This was a great buy. I am very impressed with its great mpg. I get about 23-25 mpg in the city and about 29-30 mpg on the highway. I am also impressed with its acceleration. I have no problem passing on the highway. I really enjoy the CVT. It is smooth and very nice. The interior is very nice and functional.

  • King of the hill - 2008 Nissan Rogue

After 35 years of MB ownership it was time for my first CUV. Did much research and was drawn to the class leaders, RAV4, CR-V, Outlander, Escape, Forester and Vue. In my opinion the Nissan Rogue trumps them all. Style - no spare hanging off the rear. Ride - firm yet compliant, smooth and comfortable. Engine - smooth as a babys bottom. Power - more than enough for the job. Economy - averaging 23 mpg. Build quality - flawless. Interior - intuitive, understated luxury. If you believe that the whole can be greater than the sum of its parts than I urge you to test drive this vehicle before making a decision. This is the new king of the hill!

Just got my new Rogue and love it. A vehicle that looks as good as it is fun to drive. I would not want to have any other vehicle in the Crossover class other than this one. Out of them all this one is the BEST!!!! Any doubts take one for a test drive you will fall in love with it like I did.

  • Best for the Price - 2008 Nissan Rogue

I bought my 08 Rogue in Sep 2008. After 1 1/2 yrs still I love the performance of my SL AWD. In this years worst winter in Philly my Rogue was running smooth without any traction problems. Never got stuck in ice. Never felt like driving in Ice. Fuel economy is incredible while driving long routes.I have been getting 27 hwy and around 23 in city. Plenty of room and comfortable seating providing a great ride on long trips. Also a great design giving a real sporty look . Over all Nissan Rogue is the " Best car for less price".

  • My "Little" Rogue - 2008 Nissan Rogue

I looked and looked for the right car to replace my 98 Honda Odyssey (all done w/babies and toddlers, yea!). Started wanting a wagon, but ended up in the crossover market. Im so happy with my choice, and I cant believe how well its fitting into our lives. Its actually more roomy in the front than our van. The kids are super comfortable in the back seats and dont seem to miss the reclining feature at all. I find plenty of room in the cargo area, and am figuring out how to rack it up to be able to carry bikes, skis, etc. Love the black/red cloth interior, its kind of retro and very cool.

  • Good Value - 2008 Nissan Rogue

Owned for 1 month, 5700 miles and have have noticed only 1 easy to remedy problem... major blind spot on each side that I fixed with a $3 conical mirror. Otherwise my mpg has averaged over 27, ride is quite and very similar to my 350Z and wifes Altima. Nissans arent the smoothest ride but very comparable to Honda and Toyota and the Nissan 4 cylinder on cruise does maintain highway speeds and climbing hills much better.
