This Year's Model Updates:

The 2008 Nissan Rogue is an all-new compact crossover SUV.

Pros:
  • Very carlike driving experience, supple ride, well-crafted interior, comfy front seats, excellent brakes, sweet-sounding optional Bose stereo.
Cons:
  • Less cargo capacity and versatility than some other compact crossovers, standard CVT is a poor match for the engine, impaired outward visibility.

  • Wow - 2008 Nissan Rogue

I have found just what I needed. I was looking for a all wheel drive vehicle. Checked out a few other, but keep coming back to the Rogue. The style is classy and uplifting. Not the standard handling or look for a SUV. Drives more like a car.

my car is in the shop -/+ 92,000, I should have read all these reviews but I needed a car and wasted 9000$ thank god there was an extended warranty in the vehicle. but its up soon and I am so scared this car will cause an accident and now I dont want to drive it. I really hope this helps someone deciding on a car do not impulse buy read this and save money. its worth it in the long run.

  • Fun to drive - 2008 Nissan Rogue

After driving a Pacifica for 3 1/2 years, this is a real treat. The four cylinder engine is quite peppy and really can get up an go when needed. Its nice to have better gas mileage and still have a comfortable car. We are amazed at the roomy interior, didnt feel like a downsize at all. Only thing missing is auto lights on this model. Have had other Nissan products and like the way they drive and hold up. Havent had to spend a lot of dollars other than normal maintenance on them. Expect the same on the Rogue. Try one, youll like it.

I am absolutely in love with this car. It drives amazing. I love having an SUV. I went from a 2005 altima to an 08 rogue and i love love love this car. I even have my boyfriend who has an infiniti loving it- and hes a automotive "snob" jk hes not but he like his performance vehicles. Love it. Love it. Love it.

  • Good Enough - 2008 Nissan Rogue

I love this ride. It was a huge upgrade from 10 yr old ford subcompact. Comfortable, OK gas mileage, love the front cabin storage compartments. Sound system was good too. I purchased the S AWD. And this ride is good enough for me. I expect to feel safer driving to work during the next winter storm. Safety is the number one reason for purchasing this ride.

  • Happy happy Wife And Husband - 2008 Nissan Rogue

My wife and I have driven our Rogue for over 6 months now and Ive never been happier about a purchase than I am about this one. I had owned a Jeep Wrangler before this that was terrible on gas and this was a pleasant change. I avg. around 30mpgs on the highway and around 25mpgs around town. You cant ask for anymore out of an SUV then that can you? Road trips are fun and more comfortable than ever! I love this car! I driven the Rav4 and the Honda CRV and neither can touch what my Rogue provides me.

  • Best Out Of the Bunch - 2008 Nissan Rogue

I am a 17 year old kid and I am in love with this Nissan. Have owned 2 others and they were very good. Since we own an Infiniti. But all I got to say is that I drive 350 miles back and forth to school and Nissan hit this crossover right on the head. Bluetooth works great with my blackberry. Bose which is the only audio system that I would get is very good. Seats are the most comfortable I have ever sat in. Has great utility. Xenons are nice and cant even explain the CVT its the best transmission in a car, it takes off like a rocket and the paddle shifters make it even better and it only has 170 hp and it moves. AWD is so solid I take ramps at 50 and the car holds nicely. Great driving experience.

  • Solid contender to the CRV and RAV4 - 2008 Nissan Rogue

I was very pleased with the reponsiveness of the Rogue on the road. It drives more like a sedan than a typical SUV and is far more comfortable to drive or ride in than our Honda CRV. Road noise has not been a problem, and I think were getting about 27mpg highway, which is as advertised.

  • Highly recommend the Rogue - 2008 Nissan Rogue

Have had my Rogue for 3 weeks, am loving it. The first car I have owned that people are stopping and asking to look at it. Have only seen one other Rogue on the road.

Earlier in Dec 07, my ’05 Murano SE AWD was totaled. Due to money and fuel considerations, I didn’t want to replace it with a similar ’08 Murano, so I looked at RAV4s, CRVs, and Rogues. The Rogue won hands-down, mostly due to styling: it’s hard to go from a Murano to a RAV4. The Rogue is the best small crossover SUV for me.
