This Year's Model Updates:

Changes to the 2006 Nissan Quest mainly involve trim level and feature adjustments. A new 3.5 S Special Edition trim provides some of the Quest's premium features at a more affordable base price. For the existing trims, there's illumination for the steering wheel-mounted controls, available satellite radio capability and an enhanced front-row storage tray (SL and SE trims). Nissan has also made the rearview monitor standard on the SE and optional on the SL. Michelin PAX run-flat tires are now optional on the SL and SE.

Pros:
  • Flat-folding rear seats, head airbag protection for all three rows, smooth and powerful V6, innovative roof system.
Cons:

  • Highway Robbery! - 2006 Nissan Quest

We bought this van with 13 miles on it. Have since had to take it for repairs more times than you should for a NEW vehicle that we paid over $34,000 for. Ridiculous things such as the drivers visor, breaking six times! Have had the heater in drivers seat replaced and it still does not work. Heater control only works if you strangle it. Drivers window motor replaced in first six months.I do not have the time to have take it in everytime something breaks, especially as things break repeatedly!!!! Dealer was unsympathetic, perhaps not surprised? We have also had the breaks done and new tires, which seem to have little effect on how crappy it drives. Will NEVER BUY Nissan EVER again!

  • After more than a year of ownership - 2006 Nissan Quest

I own this van for a little more than a year now. I am please with it. It never gives me any problem. The engine is smooth and powerful, and reliable in the rough weather. The entertainment system is great.

  • Highly dissappointed!!!! - 2006 Nissan Quest

To make a long story short. Ive had my van for 3 1/2 yrs. Now... Ive spent 1500 to repair a pair in the engine and the service depart. Did not fix the problem... When I return the van 2 days later they decided that it was now the transmission that needed to b replaced (which they would pay 1/2) after Id already spend 1500. Ive had new brakes front and back and new rotors... Ive spent at least 2500 in 09 for repairs! Not happy at all with this van..

  • 2 separate wheel bearing replacements - 2006 Nissan Quest
    By -

I loved this car the first year. However, the wheel bearings have had to be replaced on two separate occasions. One around 46,000 miles the next 4000 miles later. Passenger sliding door does not stop when I am in door frame. Pushes hard and I have to work to stand up against it before it reverses if it does. Worried about if kids are in frame and potential for fingers or even worse torso or head getting crushed in door shutting.

  • Bugs and more bugs - 2006 Nissan Quest

The end of my story is that we bought out our lease early and walked away from this piece of junk. The list of problems are too numerous to list, but here goes: power sliding doors opened by themselves (recall, fixed), passenger sliding door rattles and lets air in to cabin (not a good thing when its 10 degrees out), starting problems went on for over two years, new brakes needed after only 30,000 miles of driving. Also, interior materials feel cheap, fan blower is very loud, even on the lowest setting, heater works poorly. We took the vehicle to Lemon Law and settled for a modest amount of money and walked away through an early lease termination. Nissan Corporate was not responsive.
