Ive owned my Quest SE for 4 months now and have waited to write my review to see if any problems arose. Im pleased to say that 7000 miles later I have had no problems. I absolutely love to drive the Quest. I love the unique look inside and out, the smooth quiet ride, the roominess inside and powerful engine. We took it on vacation through the mountains and it did wonderful. I really like the rounded off center console. It takes no time at all to learn where all the buttons are. I dont feel that the gas mileage is too bad either, its a big heavy vehicle. I average 18-20 miles per gallon. My kids love the DVD player and the sky lights.

We love this van. The interior space is incredible, like a full-size van. The "experts" dont like the center- console instruments, but they take it for one test drive and make their verdict. After a couple of drives, it seems natural to look there, and its a whole lot better than trying to look around the steering wheel. The ride is very smooth and it has lots of power. My young kids love how easy it is to get into the van, and the gas mileage is fantastic - 25 mpg highway, 20mpg city.

I absolutely love the look of this vehicle. It certainly doesnt look like all the other minivans. As parents of two teenage boys and a baby girl, we were looking to purchase a vehicle with lots of room. We looked at the competition, Honda and Toyota, but we werent impressed. The Quest is perfect, with pleanty of room for baby equipment and generous leg room in all three rows for our almost 6 tall son. I love it!

  • Rattle and Hum (and gulp) ... - 2004 Nissan Quest

Ive owned this m.v. (my first) for 2 months. The engine and drivetrain certainly hum along. The passenger-side power door rattles over every bump. Im avering just 18 mpg to-date (well below expected). The center console takes some getting used to, but it grew on me (but not everyone). Handles surprisingly well in both rain and snow. My overall opinion is still positive, but Ill reserve long-term judgement until I see how quickly Nissan fixes the door rattle and the interior wears with age.

  • rattles that irritate everyone - 2004 Nissan Quest

Rattling sliding doors. Had it at the dealership 4 times and they cant fix them. Little squeeks inside the dash, cant find it. I solved the rattling doors myself by inserting black tubing inside the door rubbers. It made it more stable and the doors didnt rattle metal against metal anymore.

  • Won me Over! - 2004 Nissan Quest

As someone who was on the waiting list for a Toyota Sienna, I was a hard sell on the new Quest. But after taking a look at the new "not your typical" minivan styling and comparing features/price/performance purchased the new Quest right away. Definately worth a look if youre in the market for a minivan (and even a great alternative to an SUV for space and better comfort).

  • Terrible first month - 2004 Nissan Quest

My experience is not good at all, and really gave me a bad impression over Nissans manufacturing quality control. In the first 3 months, I had the car repaired 4 times. Mostly, bad QC! Body panel dropped, sliding door rail mis-aligned, truck light not connected, plastic covers failed off when touched for the first time! I must have one of lemon car coming out of Nissan factory. Very disappointed.

  • Shhhhh... Dad loves the minivan - 2004 Nissan Quest

It had been monopolized by the wife and kids for a month before I snuck away with it for a 500 mile business trip. Loved every minute of it. The nightime departure through hill country showcased the handling, ride and responsiveness. Lots of power and was glued to the road cornering. No peering through the wheel to see if I might be speeding (I was) due to the new offset gauges. Excellent drivers visiblity and room. Audio system rocks. Quest is at home on the highway. Set the cruise control and enjoy the ride. Effortless to drive and astoundingly comfortable. Im thinking Titan for Dad for Xmas.
