Why did I buy this Junk? - 2004 Nissan Quest
By sailor - May 14 - 1:13 pmWhere do I start? From the beginning, front wheel vibration, part fell out of Dash, took 4 months for dealer to replace, A/C wont blow cold when exterior temp is over 90 (I hear there is some sort of common sensor/relay problem). Rattle in back turned out to be 3rd row seat bolt was broken (i hear a common problem). Exterior L/S failed in first weeks. Took dealer 4 months to replace. Brakes shimmy when braking. I hear this too is a common problem. Dealer is either incompetent or under directions from Nissan to Deny, Deny, and obfuscate. Car 3 months old, and has been in shop over 7 times for same or related problems. None have been truly fixed. Plan, dump this junk, take a loss.

Happy Owner - 2004 Nissan Quest
By Dan - April 11 - 11:40 amI originally intended to purchase the Toyota Sienna, but after checking out the Quest, I changed my mind. The style and price convinced me. There was a noise from the rear seat area when the car had six passengers, but my dealership fixed it with a new latching system. Mileage has been as advertised and the center console is great. Have had no quality complaints with the Nissans I have owned.

By Tapan - April 11 - 2:00 amAfter checking Toyota and Honda we went to see Nissan, and that was it. Every one in my family loves this van. Took almost a month to get the color and options I wanted, but finally I got it and it was worth waiting.

major defect - 2004 Nissan Quest
By 2 quest owner - March 18 - 10:43 pmHave owned 2 Quests. A2000 and a 2004SE On Xmas morning we went out to load presents and opened the passager side to find smoke coming from the seat. After spraying under the seat with the fire extinguisher and disconnecting the battery we found the motor that adjusts the seat back and forth was to the point of catching on fire. The car was in our garage and had been turned off all night. If we hadnt been up at that time our garage and house would have burned down!!!!If you own a 2004 SE please be careful

What a Great MiniVan! - 2004 Nissan Quest
By Appst8 - March 7 - 10:00 amAnyone looking for a mini-van or a "crossover" SUV should consider the new Quest. The styling makes it "cool" to drive a Mini-Van. I liked the fuel economy of the crossovers but could not justify price for flexability/storage. The Quest delivers 25-26 MPG, forward looking styling, the same engine found in the Nissan Murano, and loads of flexability and storage space and "legitimate" 7 passenger seating. You wont believe the cargo area with the bench seats and captains chairs folded to the floor. Nissan did thier homework and came up with a vehicle that should lead the market! Safe, comfortable, fuel efficient but still plenty of horses, and stylish.

Love my van! - 2004 Nissan Quest
By Liz - February 26 - 11:10 pmI got my Quest in Dec. 2003, one of the first to have the new design. Love all the bells and whistles! Great storage space, cup holders, etc. I know the 07s have some nice improvements (like not having to remove the headrests on the rear seat before folding flat). Some other things I would like addressed: I had to replace all 4 tires and all brakes after 2 years - I hear this is a fairly typical Nissan issue. I would love the rear seat to be split so you could fold only half if needed (with 3 kids this would be helpful). The front wheels are so far forward it makes parking straight tricky. Overall - very happy, will get an 07 in December when lease is up!

Love my Quest - 2004 Nissan Quest
By laymakeup - February 18 - 10:00 amI love my quest. Im not a mom nor do I have a pack to travel with, but I thought this was the most comfortable and cool looking van Id ever seen. The only thing I dislike is the low gas milage. It averages 18 miles to the gallon. Other than that its great.

Quest, Too Many Issues - 2004 Nissan Quest
By Keibie - February 11 - 10:00 amWe are a month into our new 2004 Nissan Quest, and we are not pleased with the number of issues that have surfaced with this vehicle since the initial drive home from the dealership. 1) The Passenger Manual Door Rattles, 2) The Rear Pop-Out Windows Rattle when they are open, 3) The 3rd Row Bench Seat Rattles continuously when erected (not when it is folded down into the floor), 4) The vehicle takes too long to start after it has not been running for an hour or more, 5) The Front-End and Steering wheel vibrates at expressway speeds during both driving and braking, 6)The A/C Compressor makes a load bang noise when it intially engages.

review - 2004 Nissan Quest
By shepardliz - February 11 - 10:00 amI love my Quest! It has so many great features, and it is so well laid-out, with lots of storage spaces. It is fun to drive. I love the 5 sunroofs, and my kids love the dual DVD screens. The biggest disadvantage is that the rear seat isnt split, so if you fold it down you lose 3 seats, on the other hand it does fold completely flat so you get lots of cargo room. The latch to release the seat to fold flat is extremely stiff, I have a very hard time using it. Overall, though, I love the vehicle and am extremely happy we purchased it!
