  • STAY AWAY FORM THIS VEHICLE - 2004 Nissan Quest

I have filed a BBB suit against Nissan, that is how many problems I have had with this vehicle. In the garage more than on the road. Maybe it will be better when they get all the bugs worked out, but I got stuck with a Lemon that they dont want back!!!!

Fear of first year run, but no problems so far. We were looking at getting anything BUT a minivan to replace our aging Town & Country, but the Quest had lots of room, good fuel economy and was cooler than a lot of the small & midsize SUVs we looked at! Biggest complaint is that many options are only available on SE, and SE needs more interior options (see below).

After purchasing this minivan for what we thought was superior design, quality and innovation we are very disappointed. The cd/radio was replaced, the rear heat is terrible (blows cool air) which the dealer told us is normal, the tires are garbage, the panel on the rear door over the license plate light pulled off and now the three dials associated with the temperature controls on the center consule are not lighting. That is the first and last of Japanese vehicles.

Has been to service department 7 times since purchase. Problems with interior lighting--see service bulletin, loose steering column, fuel chamber leak, transmission shift knob came out and broke, overall very frustrating experience since purchase.Current complaint filed with Better Business Bureau

  • SOME DISSAPOINTMENTS - 2004 Nissan Quest

I love the style, the features, the drive but I was so dissapointed with the fixes that we have to had done when the factory should have checked it. Ratlle noise on both doors (passenger), there was a technical bulletin on it. Problem with power window in drivers side, loose part found. While the car is fun and great, it is difficult to have to take a van back when these types of issues should have been looked upon before giving to customer. I expect superior quality on a Japanese brand.

This is the second minivan ive ever owned and I love it! I have never had any trouble with it, the quality is great, the looks are superb, and performance is incredible! I have no complaints about my quest and am so happy I purchased it when I was looking to move into a larger vehicle than the one I had been driving. Everyone who has driven my car loves it, and two friends of mine in the market for a mini-van purchased Quests after using mine as their "test drive" van! I would recommend this van to everyone.

The car was bought manily for my use. I use a mobility scooter and my sister thought it would be heathful. She pretty much bought the first car she saw on the first day we went looking. I was not in favor of the buy. First the car was to big and clumbsy. It is diffcult to drive I cannot get comfrtable in it and for such a large mini/van it seems small inside. I have arthriris and let just say Im glad when the ride is over. I had a rear- in accident with a ford pick-up. Oct 13. We didnt get the car back until Nov.22. That is a bit long. I hit him going less then 15 mph. I admit the car stops traffic but there is no way I can recommend it.

Had a 1995Quest but leg room was an issue as our 3 children are older. Looked seriously at Sienna because of split third row bench, wind and engine noise in 1995Quest. Style won over, roomy interior, comfortable seating for 7, powerful engine, much quieter ride. Center pod takes time getting used to but much safer for driver. Theres a place for just about everything within the drivers safe reach. Kids actually choose to ride on the row bench seat! Had sliding door gasket reglued at 100 miles but no problems since. 3,500 miles and still loving it.

Was shopping for SUV from Honda and Toyota when we came across with the new Quest at a local dealership. Looks alone inside and out is already outstanding, but you dont buy cars for looks alone. After test driving it, there was no question about buying it. Comfort, technology, design, entertainment features, and power are all excellent deciding factor.

  • The Un-minivan Minivan - 2004 Nissan Quest

Ive driven minivans before, but none like the Nissan Quest. Its unbelievably large inside, with outrageous innovations and safety features. The performance is nearly sportscar like (salesman told me it was a version of the 350Z engine...believe it!!). Most importantly, my wife doesnt mind driving it at all...actually thinks it looks cool!!! The glass roof panels are awesome, and the interior is laid out like a luxury jetliner!! Thanks Nissan!! Youve got some great products lately!
