  • Quests are great! - 2004 Nissan Quest

The Quest has been a smooth, comfortable driving experience under most circumstances. It does not handle well in wet/snowy road conditions (and I KNOW how to drive in the snow...in a van even) and has a few issues with side doors opening in extreme weather conditions (below -25 and also above 105). They were recalled and fixed but we still experience the problem. Always make sure side doors are closed before switching gears. Other than that, the interior design is great, every seat has a perfect ride! Very quiet road noise and very quiet body with no squeaking too and excellent options make this van a perfect fit for large young families.

  • Love it ! - 2004 Nissan Quest

After driving the Sienna, and the Oddysey, the Quest just blew me away. It is designed for a Family to have fun in it. The center console with the gages is actually better as you have a better view of the road.

  • So Far.... So Great! - 2004 Nissan Quest

We just purchased an SE last week and Im thrilled with the styling and amenities. I traded in our 1993 Quest with 195,000 miles and hope this one will last as well. Cant yet tell about reliability etc. but the aesthetics of the car are spectacular! The wife and kids love the skylights, DVD and 10 speaker stereo. Cant wait to take it on a trip. We chose this over Sienna because our 93 Quest was so great and the Siennas were so hard to find and lacked pizazz.

Had all the quality problems others talk about here, but the killer for us was the right front tire going flat. There is a problem with the tire pressure sensors and it could not be fixed. After eight attempts to fix it they finally replaced the entire tire and wheel. This worked for a while so I didnt go to arbitration which I probably should have. When the flat tire sensor came on again, my wife refused to drive the car ever again. I had to unload it. It had 8K miles, I got $21,5K in trade, and I bought an Escalade for its reliability and build quality. Is that irony? I lost the value of my trade ($12K, 2001 Honda Accord). Obviously this vehicle is a piece of crap and Nissan knows it.

  • Great Van - 2004 Nissan Quest

I have driven this van about 2500 miles. Love the interior! It is comfortable and spacious for passengers. The luggage/grocery well in the back is great for trips to the store. Acceleration is fair to good, a bit too much shifting between gears as it speeds up for my taste, but trade off is decent gas milage. I have gotten around 27 mpg on the highway, 20 mpg for mixed driving. The car handles nicely, very comfortable to drive, handles snowy conditions well. Towing capacity is 3500 lbs, which is much better than the smaller SUVs we were considering. Would definately recommend this van!

  • Frequent and Lousy Repairs - 2004 Nissan Quest

Where to begin? AC never worked. Dealer couldnt/wouldnt repair. When finally dumping it, I had three other dealers advise, oh the AC on that doesnt work.... Under the dash maintenance lousy. parts actually fell off. Finally took it to a tire shop who fixed front vibration (in shop 6 times for), Tire shop balanced one tire and fixed the problem. Maybe the problem is Nissan of Clovis (CA). But then Factory Rep failed to respond after three weeks.

  • Excellent Vehicle!! - 2004 Nissan Quest

This is a great van, I dont quite understand all the negative reviews. Great design, comfort (we got the cloth seats as they felt better than the leather!), performance and room. We had a Toyota Sequoia but wanted to get back to a "car-feel" vehicle. The Quest has as much room as the Sequoia and neat design features such as the SkyView roof, "Podium" style center stack controls, heated seats, and great engine. Save money vs. the Sienna or Odyssey which are great vans but this Quest beats them by far in having a much cooler design. I am 61" and love the adjustable pedals (which I thought only Ford had). We are very pleased!!

I have been very happy with the performance of the Quest, the looks and confort. what a fantastic vehicle. Manuverablilty and stability great. Great adjustibility for the drivers seat for leg comfort, whether you are a big person or small, unlike my sienna.

  • Still better than most minivans - 2004 Nissan Quest

The wife loves the van. I think if it were totaled, she would still try to have it rebuilt! This from a family that said we would "NEVER own a minivan." Then 8 months of pregnancy happened. It has been a very good van overall. She is more impressed than I, but I dont mind driving it. I always tell the other guys who tease that it has the Maxima V6 and that seems to smooth a few over. We had problems right out of the gate with a new model in its first year, but Nissan backed us up 100% and even extended our factory warranty until 5 years or 60,000 miles without us asking! The wife loves the gauges over the A/C and radio with the storage over the wheel.

  • Squeaks and rattles - 2004 Nissan Quest

I have the SE model with dual DVD screens and every other possible add on including GPS. $40,000 out the door price. It is a lovely car, drives nice, great sound system DVD is great with the grand kids. I want to love it. Im trying to love it.HOWEVER The sliding doors click, clack (rattle)along with other squeaks and squawks that drive me crazy. Hard to read the gas guage and odometer. Same motor as my 04 Maxima, but half the pick-up.
