This Year's Model Updates:

Nissan adds a roadster to the 350Z lineup. Available in Enthusiast and Touring variants, the 2004 Nissan 350Z roadster offers the same performance and handling as the Z coupe but with the added fun of top-down driving. In other news, satellite radio (either XM or Sirius) is a new option this year for the Touring version of the coupe.

Pros:
  • Smooth and powerful V6 engine, excellent handling, available drop-top version, a bargain compared to anything that can run with it.
Cons:
  • Rough ride on Track model, some low-grade interior materials, lack of luggage space, poor rearward visibility.

  • The Z almost right - 2004 Nissan 350Z

Everything about the Z is great except.... They still havent fixed the tire feathering problem on the 2004, I just turned 10,000 miles and I have the problem. If you search the web a bunch of people still do. Nissan still does not have a proper fix yet. Also Im disappointed that the base model doesnt come with cruise control. A 27,000 dollar vehicle should come with cruise, Im sure it was some jerk in the marketing department who took it off of the base model so people would have to play the extra 2k to get the enthusiast model. Other than that it has been a great car. But I will not put tires on it every 8k miles. Nissan YOU NEED TO FIX THIS!

LOVE my z! Nissan should have listened to buyers of 03s re the HORRIBLE radio. Some wind noise at high speeds, but this is not a Mercedes. Fun to drive, looks GREAT! $30k cars should come with decent radios.

  • lots of car for the money! - 2004 Nissan 350Z

this car is really designed for the driving enthusiast. There is very little storage room. It performs terribly in the snow. You can only accommodate one other passenger. But...if you want to drive, have fun, feel the power, and do it in great style, this is the car for you. YAAHOOO!! Great sound system too!!!

This car is a great buy for what you get. With the available drop top on the roadster, and an available 300hp v8. For 36,000- WOW!

  • Return of the affordable Z - 2004 Nissan 350Z

Im a long time Z fan and after getting a second car that has space I traded in my 03 A4. I should have bought this car a year ago but waiting a year was probably a good choice so Nissan could find the bugs. Power, handling, looks, and Japanese build make this thing worth the money. I would suggest looking into the Track model since upgrading the brakes is $5K alone and the light weight wheels will set you back another $3K. Im extremely happy with the Enthusiast Model.

  • WHAT A BEAUTY - 2004 Nissan 350Z

Just got this car about a month ago, and it is as much fun as you want, but it looks even better. Everybody looks at this car when your on the road. Its comfortable for a non luxury car, AND THE CONVERTIBLE IS A REAL BONUS. It handles like a dream. This is my toy fun car and it really lives up to my expectations. My neighbors asked me if it was a Porshe! (At a third of the cost!!)

Fun to drive, handles with little or no effort whether in a straight line or in the curves. The sunvisors rattle and the deck lid arm binds when closing, otherwise it is my dream car. Contemplating on the roadster. Nothing but thumbs up by the onlookers and the younger enthusiasts look for the speed. Easy to get caught up in the moment to drive the car, but know your limitations as you can get in over your head with this car very easily.

  • 350Z SPORTS CAR WITH AN AUTOMATIC - 2004 Nissan 350Z

I Love it. A true sports car for everyone. You get incredible styling, power, all the bells and whistles, comfort, luxury in an incredible package all with an Automatic transmission (5spd). You get it all without having to lose the performance and features when you order it with a automatic transmission versus an 6sp manual. I had driven a 2004 Mazda RX-8 and the model with an A/T was doggy and after researching the specs you gave up alot as the vehicle was totally different when equipped with an A/T versus a manual. This drove me to the Nissan 350 Z. I have owned many sports cars and had traded in a Honda S2000 for this 350Z.

  • The BEST of the BEST !!!! - 2004 Nissan 350Z

More Bang for the Buck! I have owned Ferraris, Porsches, Corvettes, Benzs and this new "Z" is simply remarkable!!! Great exterior looks, Dramatic interior, Superb handling, Bose stereo system, Ease of operation drop top and just FUN TO DRIVE! Why spend more and get less?

  • chicks think its cute - 2004 Nissan 350Z

I will end up averaging about 1000 miles per month over my first year owning this car. I live in a region with many excellent sports car roads and little severe weather. Twisty mountain roads are the favorite hunting grounds of this predator. Z4, CLK230 and Mustang are its favorite prey. Although its ultimate grip around a corner may not be the king of the hill, it loves the transitions and flies through them with great balance. Feedback to the driver is excellent. I have the 17-inch wheels and they seem to have better comfort than the 18-inch from what I have read. Car makes you feel like you are a much better driver than you are. Moreover, it lets one become a better driver, too.
