Nissan adds a roadster to the 350Z lineup. Available in Enthusiast and Touring variants, the 2004 Nissan 350Z roadster offers the same performance and handling as the Z coupe but with the added fun of top-down driving. In other news, satellite radio (either XM or Sirius) is a new option this year for the Touring version of the coupe.

• Smooth and powerful V6 engine, excellent handling, available drop-top version, a bargain compared to anything that can run with it.

• Rough ride on Track model, some low-grade interior materials, lack of luggage space, poor rearward visibility.

  This car looks so good, its a real head- turner. This is my first Z car, before I have always had mustangs,I thought GT mustangs handled good, but its no comparison. Other cars considered,Honda S2000(no low-end torque)Subie wrx sti (looks like a riced-up kids car)Mazda rx8(weird styling,not sure about rotary reliability).The 350Z won for me...

  I ordered this car to specs last August and received it in January. I have had more fun with this car then any I have owned to date. The clutch is pretty tight and it can turn on a dime. Very responsive and on the open road you feel every bit of the 287 hp. While the word "minimalist" comes to mind for the interior, some of the features make up for it. The DVD navigation system is terrific. There are many different compartments to help make up for the lack of space. The stereo is perfect. There is not enough good I can say about this car. It is more fun than an adult should be allowed to have!

  I have been extremely pleased with this vehicle since buying it. It has a lot of the comforts & feels that I had experienced with a larger luxury car for less price. The car handles extremely well & holds to the road even in downpours of rain. The heated seats are a huge plus & for anyone that has never had them, one misses them when a vehicle does not have them. Its a shame that the trunk area is so small. But, it wasnt that big of a deal for me not to purchase this car. The pick up that the engine has is excellent.

  WHAT A BLAST TO DRIVE!! PEOPLE LOVE THE WAY IT LOOKS BUT IT DRIVES BETTER!! VERY SOLID FEEL DOWN THE ROAD. TOP VERY EAST TO OPERATE. LOOKED AT A LOT OF OTHER CONVERTABLES AND THIS CAR FOR THE MONEY IS THE HANDS DOWN WINNER IN MY BOOK.

  I wanted to go American, but reliability purposes I went for Japanese Muscle. So far Ive not been disappointed. I get compliments all the time. I drove this car 3000 miles across the country and loved every minute of it.

  The 350Z is a fun car to drive and a head turner! It is an exciting to drive with enough power to handle merging and passing other cars easily! The instrumentation is functional and easy to read! The music system is awesome and fills the car! I have owned sports cars for over 30 years ... TR3 and 250s, Rx7, Miata .... The 350Z is the best!

  WOW what a fun car to drive. Nissan needs to get a handle on the front end alignment problems. Once that is accomplished I think my car might be perfect.

  I was ready for more power.I was intrigued with the new Z car that I saw in an article about 3 years back when they were teasing everyone with articles announcing this new sexy beauty back by popular demand.I remember the article had the orangish color with the matching interior.Then it came.More incredible than any picture.The lines of this car are so voluptuous.The drive is great.When it is driven the way it was meant to be driven-wow.The power is fantastic.I feel safer with the curtain airbags.I got a fat ticket a few weeks ago and it was worth every penny.I thought about the S4s as well and I couldnt be happier with my selection.
