This Year's Model Updates:

Enhancements for the 2005 Nissan 350Z include a standard tire-pressure monitor, heated outside mirrors and a driver-seat height adjuster for both front and rear portions of the bottom cushion. Clutch pedal effort has been reduced this year, and the five-speed automatic transmission now features downshift rev matching. The navigation system has a faster processor for improved route calculation times. A special 35th Anniversary edition includes 18-inch alloy wheels, Brembo brakes, front chin spoiler, rear spoiler, available two-tone leather seats and a choice of three exterior colors, including a new Ultra Yellow. A slight bump in horsepower is also part of the package.

Pros:
  • Smooth and powerful V6 engine, excellent handling, available drop-top version, a bargain compared to anything that can run with it.
Cons:
  • Rough ride on Track model, some low-grade interior materials, lack of luggage space, poor rearward visibility.

I have a 1994 Mustang Convertible - This makes it so much easier to put the roof down - I dont get "blown around" like in the mustang - great design - Turned 50 this year and if I was ever going to get a 2 seater sportcar I was glad I got this one

Excellent car for price/performance ratio. Very comfortable ride for a "Sport" coupe, the automatic has ability to use tiptronic shifting to get max RPMs if you really want them.

I bought my Nissan 350Z Roadster Convertible just a few months ago and I love the exterior. If they would leave the exterior alone and focus on making a high quality/high tech interior, this car would be above and beyound for what you get. The 280hp engine is awesome. I get from 0-60 so quickly that I blow everyone else around me away and leave them fading into the background. The only con I have with this car is the quality of some of the interior materials. The leather is crap. The interior design overall is boring. I hope when Nissan comes out with its next version, they spruce up the interior and do minor modifications to the exterior. Nissan keep up the good work!

Once I saw this car I knew I HAD to have it. Its affordable, gorgeous and my number one priority...FAST! If you want to turn heads, have fun and receive compliments on your car...the 350z is the car for you. This is my first two-seater, and the trunk is very cramped however passenger space is sufficient. The interior is pleasant, however not luxury. But the performance and exterior styling makes up for any shortfalls this car may have.

You get a safe feeling when in the Z.It feels like your driving a much heavier vehicle. It hugs the road on tight turns and steers like a go-cart- that is very responsive!

The 350 has an absolutely impressive V6 engine and transmission combination, excellent build quality with superb looks, the ride is a bit ruff but NOT Harsh, for daily commutes. It was everything I had ever wanted in a sports car and now I can actually afford one! A Real Road Rocket that wont Hurt the Pocket!

  • The truth about the "legend" - 2005 Nissan 350Z

It has pros and cons, but the pros are mostly qualities that you cant use in normal daily driving:nimble handling and quick acceleration. I fell in "love" with this car strictly for its eye appeal...I think its a work of art. However, the Eclipse GT that I traded in served me better on a daily basis, in terms of comfort, handling, and luggage/personal space. The highly touted Bose sound system performs best when turned to a high volume. Normal speech on the radio is hard to here..there is a distinct lack of mid frequency response that doesnt lend itself to "talk" radio.

  • 350Z new car problems - 2005 Nissan 350Z
    By -

I am dissapointed with my new Nissan 350Z, because the engine service light came on even before 100 miles. I brought it in for service, and my dealer told me that they have to order parts, it has been ten days, they dont have replacement part yet. Now the AT warning lights has started blinking, telling me to bring it for service to have the transmission checked. I bought a new car, so I can enjoy driving without without any worries, but it seems I got a LEMON
