  • Great Car - Lousy Sound System - 2003 Nissan 350Z

Great car, especially for the money. This car is a total blast to drive. Prior to buying the car, I had been worried about the limited rear visibility -- as it turns out, this has not been a problem, because the side mirrors are positioned to make up for the poor visibility through the rear hatch. My only issue with this car is the poor sound from the Clarion factory standard sound system.

Absolutely worth the small amount of money to go to enthusiast. Traction control alone is worth 1500. Cant beat this car for the money in a fun to drive sports car. I loved every minute of it, just a shame I had so many problems. If they fix the issues for 2004, dont pass up the opportunity to enjoy a true sports car for a great price!

Boxter? Eclipse? Celica? WRX? As far as 99% of reviews and forums are concerned, the 350z, with the proper driver of course (me), this set of prey will be eatin alive by my 350. Especially with just a few modifications to the intake and exhaust, pushing the powerful V6 to close to 300 horses and over 290 torque, they will be nowhere in sight.

  • Its not all good - 2003 Nissan 350Z

Bought it new. Have 20k miles. Still happy with performance but not real happy with anything else. Im glad its my wifes daily driver, not mine. Alignment was off from inception and it wore the tires prematurely on the inside tread. Dealer realigned the car but nissan refused to replace the worn tires at 14,000 mi. Ever since then there is an extremely offensive howl from the front end. All guest passengers comment on the noises and finish with "well, i wouldnt buy one". Im going to have to replace the tires when they appear to be only 50 % worn due to the how.L. Its been back to the dealer several times due to the problem. No guarantees that $500 new tires will fix the noise.

  • Whew - What a car - 2003 Nissan 350Z

Fell in love with it the first time I saw it. Wife wanted me to wait until later so I did and bought it l year later. An uninsured motorist with a suspended license hit the drivers rear quarter panel after I swerved to avoid a head on collision with the driver at the last possible moment. Took the hit like a champ. Curtain and seat airbag deployed as expected. Wife and I walked away totally unharmed after being spun l80 degrees. Since been repaired and still love it. Really a tough vehicle not to mention its beefy stance and sexy curves along with its superb acceleration chacteristics. Cant say enough Just remember - Drive one and youll buy it

I love driving the 350Z. Handling is great, pick-up is fun, and it looks good after a bath. Although, you have to work hard to keep the brake dust off the front wheels. I highly recommend this car to anyone looking for a car with some spunk. The only complaint that I have is the stereo. I couldnt believe the fuzzy sound out of Bose speakers.

All I can say is "Wow!" I commute 35 miles each way every day in this car and it brings me to work with a smile on my face. Amazing performance wrapped in a runway-worthy styling package is a real winner in my book. Biggest downside is build quality. Tires, although sticky, wear VERY quickly. Factory alignment issues produced feathering of the tires and HORRIBLE road howl. Dealer will replace tires free of charge under warranty and re- align the car, but its a BIG headache. Other problem relates to a rattle-prone interior. Build quality is sub-par causing excessive rattles all over the place. Bottom line, if you can afford it, buy the G35. Better car.
