Overview & Reviews
Enhancements for the 2005 Nissan 350Z include a standard tire-pressure monitor, heated outside mirrors and a driver-seat height adjuster for both front and rear portions of the bottom cushion. Clutch pedal effort has been reduced this year, and the five-speed automatic transmission now features downshift rev matching. The navigation system has a faster processor for improved route calculation times. A special 35th Anniversary edition includes 18-inch alloy wheels, Brembo brakes, front chin spoiler, rear spoiler, available two-tone leather seats and a choice of three exterior colors, including a new Ultra Yellow. A slight bump in horsepower is also part of the package.
- Smooth and powerful V6 engine, excellent handling, available drop-top version, a bargain compared to anything that can run with it.
- Rough ride on Track model, some low-grade interior materials, lack of luggage space, poor rearward visibility.

bad blindspot - 2005 Nissan 350Z
By dianimalxx - February 15 - 6:36 amGotta love this car! Zs have been in my family since 1970. About this new model 350Z... only two things that i find a bit inconvenient.. It has a bad blindspot on the passenger side. No matter how i adjust the mirror, or twist and turn to see, even when the passenger seat is moved up, its impossible to see the rear panel. Scary at times when pulling out of parking spaces. Another thing is that there is no real glove compartment in the front of the car. Another twist and turn, and if youre driving, not safe! Its behind passenger seat so if you need maps, etc, they cant access it easily either.
what i wouldnt do to get my 1986 300ZX back... ahhh the one that got away.... -

New Z Owner Impressions - 2005 Nissan 350Z
By Kangster - January 27 - 5:10 pmAfter thinking long and hard about it, I decided to get this car over the Subaru WRX STI. I dont have kids yet and when I do, I know I wont be getting another sports car until theyve grown. Ive had it for about 2 weeks now and am very pleased. There is no Performance model for the 2006 model year, I guess they wanted to sell more Track models, but by far I think this has the best features (DSC, VDC, auto-dimming mirror) for the price (dont need to pay for leather, bad bose stereo, stock GPS etc). For those who want more HP out of this thing its fairly easily done with aftermarket performace parts like a twin turbo. Ive seen you can get it to 500HP if you really wanted to.

DZ - 2005 Nissan 350Z
By Dan Zeiders - January 24 - 10:13 amThis car is incredible. I grew up with the Z car and this is a great addition to the improving line from Nissan. Without even pushing the car, I have come to respect what it can really do. This is not made for going through the drive thru or strapping on a bike rack, it simply performs. Young kids today buy cheap cars and sink money into them that only makes them sound horrible. This car sounds great and blows all the little tin cans away.

Guaranteed to put a smile on your face. - 2005 Nissan 350Z
By Eric - December 19 - 6:53 pmThis car will turn heads wherever you go. Little kids, men, women - almost everyone seems to go for the look of the Z. The 350s performance and handling cannot be beat without spending thousands more. The car begs for open road, which sometimes makes me wish I didnt live in DC. I took it out to my friends house in the country last weekend and let him drive it for a while. He got three separate raves on the car in the space of an hour. Of course, he claimed credit by pretending to be the owner. I had to reclaim the drivers seat before his ego burst.

2005 350Z best sports car for $$$ - 2005 Nissan 350Z
By Peg - November 24 - 6:33 pmMy 2005 Nissan 350Z is amazing! It handles very well, is fun to drive, looks sharp, and has great pick up! The Touring pkg. comes with almost all the bells and whistles at a great price. The Bose audio system has a great sound. Pit falls - no ash tray, no auto head lights, cup holders are behind driver except one (which I use as an ash tray). I would highly urge anybody looking for a sports car to take a look at the 2005 350Z! No regrets here!

By Wendys Toy - November 12 - 8:50 pmThis is my second Z, first a coupe and loved it. Needed to step it up and go topless. Everyone loves the car and continues to get all the attention it deserves. Will always be a Z girl.

Avoid the 05 at all cost - 2005 Nissan 350Z
By victorbravo - October 19 - 6:51 amI looked at 4 05 zs at 4 dealerships. They all had a tear about 6 inches on the driver side. I figured I could just tape it for now and get a new top in about a year. I also used it as a negotiating tool. 10 months of owner ship and the tear grew to over a foot. I sewed it but two other rips appeared in the back a few months ago and continue to grow. Professional replacement $2000 The worst is the oil issue. I have to either oil change every 1100 miles or add another 5 quarters to get by to 3000. It appears oil is getting into two of the cylinders. It destroyed two spark plugs. If you car blows out heavy smoke when you crank it dont buy. Nissan does not back up their products.

Ya Gotta Love It! - 2005 Nissan 350Z
By dfkelley - September 10 - 4:43 amI love this car. I owned a 260z when "much" younger and have craved the rush over the years. The interior does not have storage but it is made up for with the way it handles and the design turns heads everywhere I go! I would recommend this car to anyone wanting a true "sports" car.

VERY fun car - 2005 Nissan 350Z
By mike - September 3 - 1:00 pmexcellent performance! Gas mileage very good for such power. Interior construction a little average compared to most foreign cars. Looks better with the top down. 156MPH more than anyone should use; but very fun to drive. Handles like a true sports car should. Off the showroom floor just a very hot car!!!
