Fun to drive, great on gas, looks good!! - 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse
By Ninjafish158 - May 20 - 10:00 amThis is a really fun car to drive. Looks really nice and fun to modify. The engine has some kick after massaged a bit with intake and exhaust. The interior is great, has a cockpit like feel. The shelves...I mean seats in the back have very little practicality. Three passengers means you will be hugging the steering wheel. Decent trunk space for such a tiny car. Handles well but horrible in snow. Spectacular gas mileage especially on the highway. On my drive home from school I can go 250 miles on a little more than half tank. Have had couple problems here and there. Nothing too expensive to fix though. Overall a fun car to drive and looks great.

not bad at all so far - 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse
By tyree9 - April 29 - 10:00 amI have had the car for about 7 months so far and have had one minor problem with it and that was with the check engine light. it was just a simple replacement of the gas cap. the car moves for a a heavy 4 cyc but i wish it had a little more pep (and i have the manual). since ive lowered it and added 18" rims and tires with a strut bar it handles WAY BETTER. I would would recommend this car. the car is definately a head turner.

Great car for teens - 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse
By Allison m. - April 29 - 10:00 amThis was the car I was given on my 16th birthday, and I had only been driving three and a half months, when one day while driving home I stopped for a yellow light and thought the semi-truck behind me had enough room, it didnt I was rear-ended while the truck was going about 45 mph. Both my sister and I were fine with only minor aches and pains and if someone had been in the back seat of my car they would have been doing better. I would completely buy this car again.

Good car overall - 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse
By ashums - July 24 - 2:00 amIve had my maroon Eclipse GS for almost a year. Ive had only minor problems with it. The check engine light came on which had to do with recalled spark plugs, etc. My door handle also broke off, which was kinda pricey, but oh well. Im 21 so this is the perfect college car for me. Its great for the city, and has some pep on the highway. I only wish it had a little more hp and a larger engine, preferably a V6.

2nd Eclipse - 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse
By chuppy - July 10 - 10:16 pmThis is my second Eclipse and I couldnt be happier. I drove an SUV in between the two, and I loved that car, but you cant beat the gas mileage of a 5 speed eclipse! I cant wait until the new ones come out this summer...

Eclipse - gone bad - 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse
By tech2k - January 11 - 2:00 amWith only 78000 miles and great care this car just cost me $2000 for head gasket and valve repair. The shop stated that the design was flawed and a known issue with Mitsubishi.
