Overview & Reviews
Both 2004 Mini Cooper trims offer a new three-spoke leather sport steering wheel. A rear power socket returns as a standard item, and beige leather sport seats are now available. A digital speedometer readout has been added to the electronic display, and an instantaneous fuel-consumption function has been added to its on-board computer.
- Not enough horsepower in base model, questionable seat comfort, not much room for passengers and cargo, some low-grade interior materials.

cooper s - 2004 Mini Cooper
By wingdr - December 3 - 2:00 amOut of 15 new cars bought, this is the first one that has not had to go back to the dealer in the first 90 days!! Just luv the car and the handling is so much fun. Drive one before you decide on any other car.

Mini Review - 2004 Mini Cooper
By jacqueline - December 3 - 2:00 amI love my Mini because it is so much fun to drive. It drives like a much heavier car. I took it to the mountains and it ran great at 80mph and felt very solid. It shifts very easily. You can zip in and of traffic with ease. It gets great gas mileage. People smile and point when they see it.

Since day 1 nothing but problems - 2004 Mini Cooper
By Miniman - December 3 - 2:00 amFrom the very first second I bought the car the windsheild weather stripping fell off and scrached up the roof. Then there was a vibration in the front of the cabin that hasnt been fixed after two attempts from the dealer. Then the passengers side rear tire keeps loosing air so the sensor comes on all the time and the headlight went out! And this is with no accidents! So now a rock hit the windsheild and no one can replace the glass b/c the car is so unique. I have never had so many problems with a car much less a new one. Good luck, its fun to drive but more problems than it is worth!

Mini Cooper - 2004 Mini Cooper
By dalejo - November 29 - 10:00 amCouldnt have found a better value as the price of gas exploded. This car gets between 30 and 40 mpg. I was surprised at the comfort of the front seats as I am over 63" tall, the MINI has the feel of a sports car at a very affordable cost. Perfect second vehicle for our familys needs.

Fun To drive But Build quality stinks - 2004 Mini Cooper
By oboy - October 21 - 2:00 amI was really enjoying my Mini for the first 10,000 miles; a real fun car to drive. After 12,000 miles I started getting rattles and my clutch started to squeal occasionally when it was released. I have complained several time to customer service and the dealership, but they are refusing to take care of the problem under warranty. I think Mini has had some build quality issues, hopefully they get them taken care of. Proceed with caution. Hopefully customer service will improve.

Fun Car, not exactly reliable. - 2004 Mini Cooper
By LJKelley - October 7 - 9:50 pmI bought this cute car in 2003 and absolutely loved the interior and styles of the outside. I also loved the fact it had great fuel economy. At first it was real fun but alot of issues cropped up including one cell in the battery going bad causing the whole car to not start. Regular electric issues were found including after warranty was out such as windows, heat etc. These issues were sporadic and would work most of the time.

Too Cool - 2004 Mini Cooper
By Larardo - September 9 - 2:00 amThe car is great. I have the automaticic so my wife can use it and it ok but it takes away performance and it has a governor on the rpm. It is hard to hit the right rpm when you need it and it shifts slow. I knew that going into it so I have no grips.
