Overview & Reviews
Both 2004 Mini Cooper trims offer a new three-spoke leather sport steering wheel. A rear power socket returns as a standard item, and beige leather sport seats are now available. A digital speedometer readout has been added to the electronic display, and an instantaneous fuel-consumption function has been added to its on-board computer.
- Not enough horsepower in base model, questionable seat comfort, not much room for passengers and cargo, some low-grade interior materials.

TRY ONE ! - 2004 Mini Cooper
By ootaypanky - January 17 - 10:00 amIve been in the automobile business since the early 70s. I was a Mercedes technician, sold them for 10 years, sold Porsche, Audi and Lexus as well. Over the years I have driven some fine automobiles, to be sure. But I must admit I was AMAZED when I drove the Mini. I started out driving the base model with a 5 speed manual and was thoroughly impressed. Next I drove the supercharged S model with a 6 speed. Again, an amazing experience. I opted for the S. Let it suffice to say, its AWESOME. A supercharged asphalt magnet. I HIGHLY recommend PRESTIGE MINI in MAHWAH,N.J. to anyone looking for a truly TOP NOTCH DEALERSHIP

Good little car - 2004 Mini Cooper
By BD - November 28 - 7:03 pmI bought a Mini with CVT. It has enough power for San Francisco conditions. It will easily do high speeds on the freeway. My car was jerky with the CVT at first, but a change in the chip due to California emissions stopped it. The sun visors are worthless, too short when put to the side and block too much vision straight ahead. The Harmon Kardon stereo is sometimes distorted and not worth the money. I have had no problems with the sunroof yet, the mesh filter seems ok in the hot sun. My car hasnt been back to the dealer for any problems except the rear hatch is hard to close tight. It is hard to get appointments at some dealers, others are better. I did not notice any major build defects when my car was new.

6"4 and still have room - 2004 Mini Cooper
By rak - November 10 - 10:00 amThe Cooper S is a perfect commuter car. Im 6"4, and can still put the seat back another 2 inches. I have a 34 inseam, for those of you who thought I might have short legs. The car is a pleasure to drive. After driving a 87 BMW 325 for 16 years, I expect the car to be reliable. I love the way it handles. The reviews are much to hard on the cars steering. There is no play in the wheel, the way things should be made. Just like the BMW, the battery is in the rear, with a connection in the front should you need it. Steering, braking, and acceleration are all very good. This car is a blast!

Return of the giant killer - 2004 Mini Cooper
By moorlockx - November 4 - 2:00 amThe Mini-S is one well designed piece of machinery. Coupling the awesome handling capabilities of the original Mini with modern aesthetics and innovations MINI has created a rare breed indeed. This car feels at home anywhere. The small size makes getting around congested areas a breeze. The ride and seat design doesnt wear you out on those long distance voyages, though the car is really at home on the curvy roads through hills and mountains.

I love this car - 2004 Mini Cooper
By N. Warren - November 4 - 2:00 amThis is my first new car, ever, and I cant believe I waited until I was 41 to buy one. The MINI is cool - handles great, looks cute, very comfortable on the inside, and much roomier than you think. It is very peppy, and you cant beat that BMW engine.
