This Year's Model Updates:

Both 2004 Mini Cooper trims offer a new three-spoke leather sport steering wheel. A rear power socket returns as a standard item, and beige leather sport seats are now available. A digital speedometer readout has been added to the electronic display, and an instantaneous fuel-consumption function has been added to its on-board computer.

Pros:
Cons:
  • Not enough horsepower in base model, questionable seat comfort, not much room for passengers and cargo, some low-grade interior materials.

  • Better than ever expected - 2004 Mini Cooper

I bought this little gem for my girlfriend, unfortunately for her I really love driving it. I am 6 feet tall and am very comfortable in my/her MINI. We resently drove it to West Palm beach it was a great ride. Yeah, it can be a little bumpy at times...but, I can deal with it for all the fun it has afforded us.

This car is so much fun to drive, and handles great! I recommend it to everyone. Its a small car on the outside but is so roomy inside... youd be surprised. Ive driven some great cars in the past, and my MINI is right up there with the rest of them!

my mini was bought in 2002, and i have had about 12 bad things go wrong, from bad weather stripping, car not starting, loose fuel cap ( which makes the computer think your dripping gas), paint chipping off the gear shift, and much more, recently the moonroof screen on my broke in to pieces, Im a very getile driver and these things just happened!! :(

not great for kids who need car seats. hard to close the door from back seat. cant reach across from drivers seat to close passenger door. but very fun to drive and peppy.

Absolute fun car to drive. It forgives your mistakes and cares for you as you drive. Better than my 1972 BMW 2002, the last great Bimmer series before they added all the comfort and padding.

I ALSO OWN A PORSCHE 2000 911 C4 CAB 6SPEED, AROUND TOWN UNDER 60MPH THIS CAR IS AS MUCH FUN. IT HAS THE JCW WORKS PACKAGE.IT HANDLES ALMOST AS WELL AS THE 911 AND I CAN PARK IT ANYWHERE WITHOUT WORRY.I AM A BIG GUY AND I GET IN AND OUT NO PROBLEM. IF YOU ENJOY DRIVING THIS CAR IS FOR YOU

  • Great performance car - 2004 Mini Cooper
    By -

This is a great performance car, especially when it comes to handling and driver engagement. While small, there is plenty of room in the front seats, but at the expense of the rear. First generation R53 MINI Cooper S is definitely more reliable than the second genarion that came out in 2007. Easy to modify with a 15% reduction superchager pulley and cold air intake to get this car around 200 hp.

  • Love my MINI - 2004 Mini Cooper

The newness has run out but the fun has just begun. Mini finally got broken in after 3500 miles. She is a happy little gal now and is very smooth running. Still got lots of great comments from others.

  • Luxury in small package - 2004 Mini Cooper
    By -

The MINI Cooper is an excellent car. BMW has packed a lot of features into this little car, more than one would expect. Its like getting all the features of a luxury car, without the luxury car price.
