For their second season in the U.S. market, the 2003 Mini Cooper and Cooper S will now come with a second remote key and pre-wiring for a dealer-installed alarm system. Anthracite (smoke gray, that is) interior trim is available as a no-cost option for both cars, and the Cooper S is eligible for the high-gloss silver interior treatment found in the base Cooper. Sound systems will be satellite radio-ready this year, and the rear cargo area now has a power point.

• The thrill of owning a piece of history with modern underpinnings, BMW-engineered suspension and steering, chock full of comfort and safety features, hatchback utility, scheduled maintenance on-the-house for 3 years/36,000 miles.

• Not enough horsepower in base model, questionable seat comfort, not much room for passengers and cargo, price goes up quickly with options, limited supply encourages dealer mark-up.

  Wow! This really is the ultimate adult go-kart! Just purchased three weeks ago. Enjoying immensely! Hubby and I share the car - have to take turns as we both enjoy driving this vehicle. Although, I have to say, it is nice to be the passenger, too!

  I have had my Mini for about a month. There have been zero mechanical problems or concerns. It can really move when you stomp the accelarator! Feels solid. Corners like a go cart.

  This is the car you want if you want to be able to snap through the turns, turn some heads and do a lot of smiling without having to bankrupt yourself.

  I love this car!!!!!! I have owned many different cars over the past years and nothing compares to how much fun this car is. It has a great design, is economical, is sporty, has plenty of power, attracts attention, is exciting and is the best car I will ever own... without a doubt.

  Since I bought this Mini machine, I have had so much fun, beieng able to fit into spaces that otherwise were left for bikes! It is very versatile, it fits my pocket very well, saves me in gas, great mileage. I was a little bit afraid about the performance in the snow...but oh surprise..it was even better than I had expected. It handles very good, with such grace.. I can go on and on, but you have to test drive one and let the car tell you what is capable off. Good luck!

  Just returning from my trip to the Northwest where I rented a mini S. From Seattle to Port Angelus and from there to Vancouver Island . Every task I asked this little car to do, it did in a manner which lets you know its really built to hug the road. The response to every curve with the leadfoot is what front-wheel-drive is all about me.

  I was given this car in 2004 as a gift from my parents. I could not have been happier. After having it for over eight years now, I am ready to drive it into the Hudson. This car has been nothing but one major problem after another. The first year I got it I was on the highway and the car just stopped switching gears above third gear. Luckily that was covered under warranty. Since, I have had the air conditioning go out twice, the power steering go out, windows stopped, door locks stopped, numerous overheating episodes, etc. My poor father has spent numerous hours and dollars repairing this thing. Thank goodness I have him though, because I would have spent several thousands by now

  My mini is my first car, i bought it myself and absolutely love it!!! My mom has one also and we both couldnt be happier with there performances. My mini was built with the sports package and its the best, the seats are so comfortable and the steering quality is excellent. The Mini Cooper is a great car for people of all ages and heights, even my 6 foot 4 Grandpa fits in it with ease. Great over all car!!!

  Very very sharp handling car (for stock). Exceptional Style has nothing to compare with... Very noise when you are about 65MPH interior, heavy power steeling and clutch. Lots of issues for electronics. Went to dealer for 8 times for windows, center console, DSC... Very costy for change the OEM run flats
