Both 2004 Mini Cooper trims offer a new three-spoke leather sport steering wheel. A rear power socket returns as a standard item, and beige leather sport seats are now available. A digital speedometer readout has been added to the electronic display, and an instantaneous fuel-consumption function has been added to its on-board computer.

• Not enough horsepower in base model, questionable seat comfort, not much room for passengers and cargo, some low-grade interior materials.

  Ive had my MINI for 3 years now. Its so awesome to drive I actually prefer my longer commute! I count myself lucky to be able to spend at least 2 hours a day in it. Its stylish and indescribably fun to drive. In my three years, Ive never had a single problem with it. Its like a fairy tale!

  This is simply the best car i have ever owned. I have driven and owned several other cars some of even greater sticker value, but this is just simply the most fun you could ever have in a car. There is just nothing that can beat the driveableity, sportiness and overall fun this car delivers. Not only that, it is easy to keep on the road because you dont constantly get gouged by expensive trips to the gas station because the fuel econmy is so great. On the highway I can average 40+ mpg at 70+ mph

  To all potential MINI folks. These vehicles attract attention, a lot of attention. They perform extremely "flat-footed" and hold the road like chewing gum on your shoe. No it isnt the circus "clown-car" No it doesnt have a wind-up key The standard "bells and whistles" in the MINI far exceed anything on the road getting more then 33 mpg in the city today.

  My Mini is simply the best car Ive ever owned, and that includes a 912 and many antiques. Its also the most fun you can have on 4 wheels. When I was 10 we had a Go Kart. This car is that much fun, and more.

  I dont think I will ever drive any other cars but MINIS ever again! Reliable, stylish, safe, and fun to drive! What more can you ask for! Even though its small, its a people-mover; everyone wants to ride in the MINI! Always carrying 4!

  We bought the Mini because we loved the original when we where first married but were raising/having children. We can afford to have a third fun car and the Mini is it. I like to drive it hard, meaning put it through the corners, pass people on the expressway, find other Minis to "race and get comments from Grandmas and teenagers re"nice Car" etc. etc. I dint drive the "s" when we bought it, because I wasnt willing to spend the extra 3K and the regular Mini is fast enough. Ive had it past 115 with a "little peddle left"...

  I also own a 2004 BMW 530 with sport package/ active steering and premium package. I think it is one of the best driving cars on the road today... but for some reason I find myself driving the Mini Cooper S more than the 5. It has so much personality and is just plain fun to drive.

  The Mini Cooper is by far the best car Ive ever owned. It is a great deal of fun to drive, handles extremely well and is suprisingly comfortable even on long trips. Very fuel efficient too, a big plus with gas prices rising daily! I highly recommend this car!
