Both 2004 Mini Cooper trims offer a new three-spoke leather sport steering wheel. A rear power socket returns as a standard item, and beige leather sport seats are now available. A digital speedometer readout has been added to the electronic display, and an instantaneous fuel-consumption function has been added to its on-board computer.

• Not enough horsepower in base model, questionable seat comfort, not much room for passengers and cargo, some low-grade interior materials.

  This car is so much fun to drive, I cant wait to get in it, even if I headed for work! I have owned other sports cars (Porsche, 280Z), and the MINI gives me the same road-hugging, hang on for the ride feel. The MINI is so manueverable in traffic, that I dont even think about rush-hour anymore. Even though I have had the car for going on two years, its still like brand new.

  Automatic Transmission (CVT) is OK - 2004 Mini Cooper

  Because most of my driving is spent in traffic commuting into Boston, and because my wife wont drive an standard transmission, I ordered my Mini with an automatic (CVT). Now, after a month of driving it, I am happy that I got the CVT. The CVT has one gear with an unfixed, huge range of variable gear ratios. It doesnt drive quite like other automatics, but its more than adequate once you get used to it. In addition, there is "sports drive" mode built in that makes it run at higher rpms and thus makes additional torque available in this mode. Its a lot of fun when youre driving on a road with lots of tight twists and turns.

  I absolutely LOVE my mini !!! BMW Manufacured without the BMW price tag was also attractive. It is a blast to drive and it handles the road like a sports car! Cant wait for the convertible!!

  if you want a car that turns heads and is fun to drive then, this car is for you!!!the the car turns on a dime and has the power of a much bigger car. the gas mileage is excellent and the interior comfortable for even the biggest person.of course you can forget about comfort in the back. this car is definitly for a couple or single person.
