For their second season in the U.S. market, the 2003 Mini Cooper and Cooper S will now come with a second remote key and pre-wiring for a dealer-installed alarm system. Anthracite (smoke gray, that is) interior trim is available as a no-cost option for both cars, and the Cooper S is eligible for the high-gloss silver interior treatment found in the base Cooper. Sound systems will be satellite radio-ready this year, and the rear cargo area now has a power point.

• The thrill of owning a piece of history with modern underpinnings, BMW-engineered suspension and steering, chock full of comfort and safety features, hatchback utility, scheduled maintenance on-the-house for 3 years/36,000 miles.

• Not enough horsepower in base model, questionable seat comfort, not much room for passengers and cargo, price goes up quickly with options, limited supply encourages dealer mark-up.

  Ive never paid MSRP for a car before, but I would say that this car is worth it. The buying experience is extremely easy & fun. Mini is constantly sending me nice goodies in the mail, & customer service has been great so far. Like how you can order exactly what you want on the car. A VERY fun car to drive with lots of pep, great handling & brakes. The int & ext design continues to draw looks, and its refreshing to drive something different. Im used to an SUV, but quickly acclimated to this small car which feels roomier inside than it looks. The ride is firm, but I expected that. Love all the BMW features without the BMW price.

  I waited 9 months for delivery of my 2003 Cooper S and it was well worth the wait. The performance of the car is awesome, acceleration, handling and braking are all that was expected and then some. The jury is still out if the ride is going to be too harsh. After two weeks, Im still adjusting to the firmness, I realize it adds to the handling

  The MINI Cooper Sport is an absolute blast to drive. Fun in the sun. However, it was in the shop 4 times within the warranty period, which makes me a nervous owner regarding maintenance. It is also not a car for bad roads with potholes. Mileage runs about 21/gal for the Cooper, and its premium gas. Dont know if I will keep this car due to maintenance issues, but it sure is fun to drive!

  Its worth the wait! A lot of car for the money and regardless of the size, Mini doesnt cheat on quality. My first new car in 15 years, so the bells and whistles are amazing. Great dealership assistance when you need it; thanks BMW! And you should see my dog in it--hes motoring too!

  you can put ten pounds of petrol in this car and it last a week. it very fun to drive if i was someone that wanted to buy a car get one.

  Our Mini Cooper is exciting and fun to drive. Weve had our Mini for about 3 months and really enjoy the performance and compliments we get. It has become a great marketing tool for our company and a relief on the wallet with fuel economy at over 30 miles per gallon on the highway. This is one of the best values on the road for your money. We cant wait to join some of the rallies that seem to take place every weekend. We nicknamed ours Simply Outrageous Mini or "SO Mini."   This is the best car for the price. It has value inside and out. Never has a car been built with this technology for the price. 3 years and 36000 miles of free schedule maintance is awsome too.

  the speed of the car is the most surprising thing. didnt expect that quickness out of a 4 cyl. I am 65" and there is plenty of leg room and head room. Safety feature of the car and recent rating of 4 stars is impressive

  I`m very pleased with the car overall.At times, I have to explain my decision to buy it,though.I have driven nearly all the recent BMW models and own a 325is.This car pulls like a miniature 540i and handles like a go- kart.It`s so responsive,that it makes my 325 feel like a stationwagon.I can see anger at service probs but who are these folks who buy one but bash the looks and the handling.Why buy it if you don`t like it.The perf. runflats are harsh over bumps but on smooth roads,life is great.I`m 6`1``and my 4 and 8 year old are cramped behind me,but they always want to ride in it anyway.Kids point,adults smile,everyone`s happy.
